Air raid siren heard in Kiev as invasion of Ukraine begins

Air raid sirens were going off during CNN's Matthew Chance live report from Kyiv, Ukraine, Thursday morning at 7 a.m. (11 p.m. Wednesday MT). The sirens could be heard across the city.
A senior U.S. defense official said Thursday's attack by Russia appears to be the first phase in what will likely be a multiple phased, large-scale invasion.
The attack began before dawn and brought explosions to Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and other cities. Ukraine’s leadership said Thursday at least 40 people have been killed so far in what it called a “full-scale war” targeting the country from the east, north and south.
President Joe Biden on Thursday announced a new round of sanctions targeting Russia after its invasion of Ukraine, charging that Russian leader Vladimir Putin “chose this war" and that his country will bear the consequences of his action.
The sanctions target Russian banks, oligarchs, and high-tech sectors, Biden said. The United States and its allies will block assets of four large Russian banks, impose export controls and sanction oligarchs.

The Serbs deserved it in Belgrade for their doings during the Siege of Sarajevo just like the Russians in Belgorod will for Kharkiv soon. Serbs are just like the Russians shooting civilians with sniper rifles then when the UN came to help them the Serbs shot them too, 25 year old Antoine Hardoin was the name of the second peacekeeper who was killed in Sarajevo. He was attempting to build anti-sniper barricades to help civilians get on with their lives and a Serb sniper shot him not once but twice and the other peacekeepers couldn't reach him because he was putting himself in the danger zone so civilians didn't die leaving him severely exposed laying in the road where he bled out.

It might just be because I'm 18 and I don't have a full grasp of the real world yet. But from what I have been told in my books are that the only two reasons why an all-out War would start are because of people being dissatisfied of the amount of land they have or one country is disturbing a bordering country. Neither case seems to be true given how big Russia is and the fact that Ukraine has pretty much kept to itself for the most part. So it just goes to show that Russia the antagonizer in this instance
