I love the A380 as much as most people, but apparently the numbers show it is not the king of the sky. Airbus has announced it is no longer taking orders and has stopped production.

did the A380 have order to fly below the A350 in order to avoid collision? or simply because A380 is about to land thus lowering its altitude?

The planes have rules how close they can fly each other and usually ATC gives the instructions for flight levels, heading etc. The A380 was also flying to Doha but probably different way than my flight.

Why are they flying close to each other? Does this mean that the ATC advices them to do so? For what particular reason?

Probably from ATC but the planes needs to follow the safety regulations what comes to fly near another aircraft.
