I must say. I have the DeWalt version of a lot of these pneumatic tools. They are bloody ace. 18V Finger-sander is a game changer when your in a awkward spot and it's not practical for an airline. More portable work on vehicles etc. The DeWalt 18V die-grinder is a beast. Two of the best tools I brought. I haven't got a DeWalt 18V cut-off tool yet, although would be nice. If anybody wishes they had a battery variant of these tools for short periods of time, the 18V DeWalt line-up are ace. Not sponsored but I wish I was lol. Obviously pneumatic are for constant duty workshop work and easier to service etc.

How do you find the dewalt 18v die grinder, I’ve been thinking of purchasing one but was wondering if it’s a bit cumbersome compared with an air tool equivalent?

@@Jut123 it’s great when you can get it into spaces. Just used it today with an emery cloth wheel for paint removal in the recessed section of my boot. Some spots had to use the drill with a brass wire brush but did 80% with die grinder. Also use it with carbide burrs often too.

Whats the benefit of air tools? I imagine the air compressor and maintenance ends up costing more than electrical?

You have to buy a compressor if you want to use a Plasma Cutter, Spray Paint Gun, Sandblaster, Arc Gouging, Inflating Tyres. So you may as well buy air tools they are light, cheap, simple, easy to service, and you can't get electrocuted, only draw back is you need a vice to hold the air line.

20v lithium makes air outdated. Air hammer and air jet are the only airtools worth having. Apart feom running ATC/oiler on CNC.

Don't talk shite. Coming from someone who doesn't know why we still have air tools.. Can you think of many reasons why? I'll give you some. 1. Lightness. Try using battery tool for 4 hours. Oh you can't the battery runs out after 10 minutes. 2. Speed. 3. Cost 4. reliability
