I have been watching your videos for a couple of years now. Decided to go back and see some of your older ones. To see the utter joy on your face when opening that box. My God you've come so far Matt. Good for you.

i just got the cricket in last week, i know how you feel upon receiving such a beautiful piece of art, feeling no one would understand, if not into this air gun world...Great stuff here. Have a very Merry Christmas in South Africa.!

Matt I know this is a bit off the point but if you could do a review on the m10 jackal I don't know if you have heard of it but it's not a bad pcp once you have worked on it . Can't find any reviews on this pcp

Is there a way to switching out parts from new s510 xs to this old one to make it regulated?? Just wondering?
@skrawch34839 жыл бұрын
how much did it cost you ? and how did you buy it ?
@darrellhart936310 жыл бұрын
MY first thoughts watching you open that box, was of a kid in a candy store and Mama said yes. It was that classic look, then you bout it out for us to see but not touch. So enjoy the taste of it, and you still have a box to play with something to put the targets on big kid fun.

Great job on the video. I live in the USA where power isn't an issue. What does FAC mean, what is the power rating in 22 cal., what is the muzzle velocity, and how many shots per fill. Thanks

Question: - how and where did you purchase the rifle? I'm in SA, and can't really find somewhere that sells this PCP?? Looks a beaut and you look chuffed. Suggestion to you - maybe create a video on Gun laws in SA and how and what the regulations are. Just a thought.

Absolutely fantastic guns. I have the s510 carbine and it is my favourite rifle of all my guns. Accuracy is phenomenal , consistancy is fantastic. Love it. Beats any Daystate hands down in quality and function.

I see that's a laminated stock, from what I had read laminated stock is heavy than real wood. It's would be nice if Air Arms start making bullpuff stock like FX Bobcat. Just wonder you not getting other pcp brand beside Air Arms?
@AirArmsHuntingSA10 жыл бұрын
You mean Bullpup? Yes that would be nice - I would also like to see a bottle tank at some point. 30 consistent shots is not really enough when you're out shooting all day.

Would you suggest the .22 for hunting or .177, what's the main differences or will both do a good job?
@CreeperTroll110 жыл бұрын
They both work great i have a .177 and it kills anything i point it at and the .177 ammo is cheaper and im sure the rifles are cheaper to its quieter than a .22 but if you want more of the stopping power and range go for a .22
@TheeDrunkunMunky10 жыл бұрын
CreeperTroll1 Thanks mate, .177 it is XD
@kitcarson75729 жыл бұрын
That question is a varied answer. Much depends on what you intend to hunt and at the ranges you wish to shoot. I hunt squirrels mostly and they are tuff, so the .22 is better and with a heavy pellet in the .22 you will have as much energy at 100 yards as the 177 does at 35 yards. Lighter pellets lose energy fairly quick and the larger slower moving .22 passes the 177 around 35 to 40 yards and retains good energy downrange. Most shots on squirrels are under 60 yards so the .22 really packs a punch.

great looking gun this . that stock looks amazing close up .
@Jojo-ki4ej10 жыл бұрын
Can't wait to see you're video shooting that .22. Unfortunately it's illegal to have moderators here in the US. It's sure nice to have it for pest control.
@kitcarson75729 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. To use a silencer or moderator that can be removed and placed on another gun is not cool. They might haul you off to the graybar motel. However I have a new Daystate Regal XL and it came with the reflex moderator all built into a barrel shroud, and legally sold by the USA distributor. So it is legal this way as it cannot be removed and placed on a different gun. Also Hatsan makes their QE quiet PCP'S and they are relatively quiet and have a barrel shroud that takes the place of removable moderators.

@AirArmsHuntingSA10 жыл бұрын
I still own and use a .177 - Having the .22 just makes me feel a little more comfortable hunting larger animals like hares that can get up to 5kgs here.
@sharpone4010 жыл бұрын
Thank You for reply. Seems most anything I have seen you shoot with the 177 was dead. I have been shooting the Beeman HW 100 S FAC in .20 with Aluminum air cyl I find it has a lot flatter trajectory than the 22 with more Whop than 177 and much similar trajectory. About 800-845 fps with 13 gr pellets. But it tips the scales W/scope.mounts and sling at 10.4# I have a Era 1992 BSA Supersport in 22cal,its a nice rabbit and Bird gun to 35 yards. May all your shots fly try and your beer be cold. Errol SW Missouri USA

Do you need a lisence for a 22 caliber air rifle in South Africa?
@AirArmsHuntingSA10 жыл бұрын
Nope:) 5.6mm (.22 rimfire) and higher requires a license. This is 5.5mm. Cutting it close!

How I envy you I keep looking at the Air Arms S510 Ultimate Sporter so I am really looking forward to your review on how she handles. Like you I own the Air Arms S510 so I would value your opinion if there is any advantage having the Ultimate Sporter over a standard S510. No pressure but next week would be good :-)
@AirArmsHuntingSA10 жыл бұрын
The mechanics are exactly the same so the stock is the only real difference. That said, it's very customizable and does make quite a difference to the handling and ergonomics. You will have to decide between weight and comfort though - this stock is a fair bit heavier
@Mtrossell10010 жыл бұрын
AirArmsHuntingSA It cant be as heavy as my Air Arms TX200 !!!
@AirArmsHuntingSA10 жыл бұрын
With a small scope and without the silencer its actually really light. WAY lighter than a springer of the same power, and probably a lot lighter than bottle guns like the Air Ranger and Rapid. I'm just a PCP snob:)

I'm from Brazil. Any king of gun here is extremally expensive. Rifles that cost around 200$ are sold for around 700$ here, and rifles that cost 500$ sold for 1800$ :/
