Thanks for the great information guys. I fly Part 107 near an Air Force base. We currently have an airspace COA and notification procedure, but LAANC would make that process much simpler and efficient.

Is there anything i would miss as a recreational pilot in air aware if i already use air control or is it just simplified for people without 107?

i used notify and fly today. 4pm EDT for 35 minute video and image capture low altitude high speed flying collecting content for slo mo . i was operating in clear airspace with military flight gps over 150 meters. i liked the info to warning above 150 meters. communication and knowledge of flight ops is key to avoid any safety mishaps.

i get LAANC approval thru Air aware every day.. i have only requested the auto permission altitude.i get message and e-mail notification. In Class C airspace

Are airports geozone areas?

In my experience with my DJI Mini 3 Pro, the airports I've been close to in Texas (Alliance and an uncontrolled airstrip) are geozone locked where I had to get both LAANC (up to 200 ft) and unlock the zones for the two airports before I could even take off.

Not Seeing AirAware on the list of FAA approved providers. Is the FAA site current or is it called something else? Android, Not even seeing Aloft

Aloft is one of the approved providers for LAANC (actually the largest one in the country). www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/laanc#approved

Jon and I have different definitions of moving fast. The main menu display issue and lack of LAANC are months old topics. Maybe PI's engagement will help Air Aware development feel a little less... stale. 😉

Keep in mind, the previous app was heavily controlled by the FAA and by what Aloft could do to the app.
