This just looks so relaxing and peaceful. With all the snow it looks like a beautiful winter wonderland. I could definitely see myself staying here and enjoying every peaceful minute :) It also looks like a wonderful romantic getaway for couples. You know,im really think about doing something like this.. I have a cabin "glorified shed" on a creek (2 miles short of being called a river) off the ohio river.. It's a really good muskie fishing place.. I figure throw in a small dock and really that would be it.. Other than a trip to Walmart for a dorm fridge,toaster oven,2 burner hot plate and a microwave.. Well.. I am also putting in rain catchment for shower and toilet.. Drinking/cooking outta a water dispenser.. It's the summer project.. Can't really say its the most beautiful location,there's neighbors,but like me,a river lot for fun.. But i really dont think fishermen give a hoot to what it looks like as long as they can fish and it be cheaper than a motel.. How much did they charge for a weekend at this place? It really just looks like a baker style tent made from planking overlooking a hillside without really anything else.. I'm not knocking it by any means,looks like a great place for a couple to get outta the big city for a few days and not hear a car horn and relax in peace..

We'd definitely recommend you rent your shed out once you make your additions. Even though you think it may not be in the best location you'd very amazed at how many people would be interested staying just to have the "off grid" experience. In the summer time, near the creek sounds like it would be a good time! Wish you the best of luck. We live in the city so we love to take any opportunity we can to get away from the hassle. Which is why we'd recommend you go for it! We'd be interested in knowing how it goes!

This is really pretty, great job on filming..Question ..where do you park and is it a lil trek to get to cabin? I ask because that would be the best part of it all

Thank you for watching! We really appreciate it. The trek to the cabin depends on the time of year. We've stayed here in winter and summer and we park about 5 minutes away from the cabin . In summer the walk was not strenuous at all because there is a walking path. However in winter we definitely had to use crampons because the path can get extremely icy! It was certainly a challenge but definitely part of the fun!

Hey Linda! To be honest, we should have asked that question. We aren't exactly sure, however we did include the link to the airbnb and the hosts are absolutely wonderful so I'm certain that they would be able to tell you.

The eco cabin was designed to be off grid and environmentally sustainable. We know that can definitely be an adjustment and it's not for everyone.
