@@thegadflygang5381 i used to watch this every time it came on HBO in the 90s. Stuart Copeland did an amazing job . I always felt Thomas Newman resembled his arrangement/style. Both are great composers.
@thegadflygang5381
@thegadflygang5381 Жыл бұрын
@@john82keys oh yeah, you know it. A good score takes a very good film and elevates it to the next level. James Horner on Wrath of Khan with his seafaring and Klingon score or my favorite Braveheart with A Gift of Thistle and the thunderous "freedom" crescendo. Zimmer with that opening melody of Gladiator and the Coliseum. Thomas Newman with "Whisper of a Thrill" for Meet Joe Black that rips your heart out. American Beauty. Oh man, what would Shawshank be without Newman. Vangelis on literally everything, especially Chariots of Fire and the Bounty . Tangerine Dream. Copeland and Newman are probably my faves as well. I can't put my finger on why I like Copeland but whether Wall Street or Rapa Nui, his mad scientist take hits a chord

“No thank you ma’am” LOL they respect their elders. Not only that but they admitted that they misjudged Mitchell and apologized?! Shew, even today that takes a lot of balls. This played on Disney all the time when Disney became a regular channel. I remember it when it would be on periodically and when it wasn’t it was a scrambled channel. The last time I remember it being not scrambled was when it was playing an episode of The New Mickey Mouse Club. Channel 17!

I had watched it so many times due to it being one of those regularly-aired-on-weekend-afternoons-by-local-network-affiliate-stations...movies. Dude's been making me howl with laughter practically my entire life, and often unintentionally blows my mind when blowing doors down alongside his brother Kage. This concludes the daily Jack Black appreciation moment. Thank you, and Hail Satan.
