I came to youtube for good music and helicopters. Now I've found both, thanks! :) This video makes me want to fly so bad.. Wanted to ever since I was a kid I used to draw helicopters and such. It's expensive and low job security in Belgium but hey... I just registered for the theory course and might spread my practicals over a few 3 month long periods in South Africa... way cheaper even including conversion plus it's a very beautiful country, I have to do this one way or another :) Keep it up AirBoss!

we did this out west in USA Montana ETC ! with the Kaman Was awesome at that time there where 3 Kaman's left now 0 the super Kaman flys now Awesome being in the cock pit when they do it Like a roller coaster at release

Such an awesome video. I'd love to see you make a much longer, say 30+ minute, video using multiple camera angles (POV from helmet, camera under belly of airframe or skid, etc), and talk/caption in a lot more detail about what all is going thru your head at any given moment, such as instruments you are paying attention to, hazards, etc. Not necessarily a full-on instructional training video per se, but just kind of talking the viewer through everything that's going on in a greater level of detail. I'd pay good money for a vid like that. And btw I don't mind the music, it gives the vid a unique Euro flavor.

How does the performance cross between the b2 and b3? Lifting performance? fuel economy etc?... Obviously there is a bigger turbine but would be good to get a pilots perspective who has flown and worked with both... Thanks for the upload too, awesome video!

This can't be an efficient way to log... Each log must owe the owners gallons of fuel and who-knows-what in chopper operation costs, pilot washes etc.... before it had even been put on a truck and milled up!

tosgem Much of the harvest in todays forests is done by means of thinning, and with heli-loggings minimal footprint (no roads, skidders, buckers. or trucks) on the surrounding trees and forest floor, it is indeed efficient.
