In the making: Qatar Airways’ historic first A350 XWB jetliner

Follow the initial Airbus A350-900 aircraft for global launch customer Qatar Airways through the manufacturing process - from delivery of components to the final assembly line in Toulouse, France to its maiden flight in autumn 2014. The video also highlights the “Xtra” that makes the difference for this Airbus next-generation widebody jetliner - including its spacious and comfortable cabin, use of advanced composite materials along with the aircraft’s highly-efficient and quiet Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines.

I flew on one of these Qatar A350-900’s and I really enjoyed it. The food service was amazing, and it was very quiet, and overall, I think this is airbus’s best plane yet.

Joaquin Pinto Well the A320 and A330 have been around for a while so it makes sense that the design should be updated to be more efficient. The A380 is still relatively new so it's not really at the point where a neo model is necessary yet.
