I have 70 hours on my Susi 3 all but 10 hours have been flowen in thermic conditions Oslob Cebu Philippines. Thankfully I can still run well even though I'm an old bloke. 71. I love this wing. I needs at least 10 km of head wind on take off and some wind on landing is a great help. In the air it it is just a dream. In light conditions I fly Uturn vision as the Susi 3 sink rate is quite a bit higher.

Hi Ronald, great to hear that you follow your passion even as an "old bloke" :). I hope i will be able to do that also. The flying location you mentioned looks great! Do you fly your Susi heavily loaded (EN-C +) as "Miniwing" in strong conditions or moderately loaded (EN-A/B)? It really seems that the wing is quite admired by a large spectrum of pilots, which is why i bought it without testing (i normally wouldnt do that). I dont regret that. Thanks for your comment, greetings from Austria.

@@FunAlpPara how do you find it with low wind and soaring?
@FunAlpPara3 жыл бұрын
@@jamienewby2590 Launching it with low wind is fairly easy for its size and load. I also had a few tailwind launches which worked quite fine. I think its a good tradeoff between agility/speed and starting/launching behaviour (personal opinion). I only once had the chance for propper soaring in around 23-35 km/h wind and it was quite fine. However, in turbulence it can feel quite nervous (but no final judgement on that)...

I also really like my Susi 3. I've got the 13 which I usually fly at ~60-63kg, so I'm not loaded super heavy, but due to curiosity I tried to stall it and it went better than expected. Just any tiny bit of asymetrie is punished😅, If you want you can check out the video on my channel. Also thermaling works quite good in my opinion, yes it is a bit twitchy, but a lot better than the Bantam.
