Airfield Defence Pillboxes At RAF Charmy Down

Thanks mate. This trio is actually on the airfield by the eastern dispersal points so I am not sure if these would have been recorded seperately. I am waiting for the wartime airfield layout drawings of Charmy down and wonder if they will show up on there.

i glad you got to go in two of the three but when i looked on Google Earth these werent showing up so i dont think the have been recorded anyway ace vid ';-)

The small arms range was taken down years ago, I can't imagine that it still shows up on Google Earth. Does the pillbox show up on the western side of the airfield by the fighter pens?

well the dispersal points are showing up on the Extended Defence of Britain overlay but the Pillboxes arnt showing on it and even the 25 Yard Small Arms Range is on Google Earth so i think they have missed the Pillboxes ';-)

if you go on Google Earth and put 51°25'41.13" N 2°21'16.15" W in the search box you will see the Pillboxes to the west of the airfield but i cant see the ones to the east well not that i can make out but i think it because they are to the south east at 51°25'25.06" N 2°20'26.49" W ';-)
