Nice looking kit, I think I'll add this to my Chrimbo list. While I do by far prefer the seperate bags. I do get that one bag saves using more plastic for packaging, despite the fact we are building 'Plastic' kits. I think that if the boxes are made smaller so that there it no or little chance of moving would help reduce the chances of damage

Very thorough review and you're right to call them out on their packaging. Makes me want to build a "chopper". Oh well...off to the kit store. Happy New Year!

Nice review Lee, and a VERY valid mini-rant about Airfix's packaging.... Or LACK OF! You're spot on.... it simply isn't good enough. And not really a rant, but more a very objective (and constructive) criticism. Hope someone from Airfix (who can actually make decisions) sees your review, and actually CARES about such things!! Happy New Year to all at ISM, and to you, Lee and Paul, in particular, (but others like Coen & Adam Mann, too) very many thanks and muchos appreciation for all that you bring us. Have a great 2016, guys. Cheers, from Mark In the UK.

Nice review, I have a two 1/35 Helos and storage will be the real pain when finished. No more than my 1/35 Madcat or 1/48 Star Wars MF. But most won't compare for storage to the new 1/35 AT-AT coming from Dragon

Hi Lee, You would think that Airfix, would take notice of these reviews, and then think to themselves we had better take notice of the reviews a,d start packing their products a lot better. Considering the likes of Tamiya have been placing their product into separate bags for years. So Lee I think you had better get building. Also A Happy New Year to you and your family and also to Paul and his family. Les

I have seen your work..it is awesome especially the painting, how do you get it so life like is beyond me. I have started airbrushing just 2 years ago. mine turn out good but not with the detail you have? I wish there was a youtube tutorial on how to paint and detail models.

great review. I picked this up in the winter sale as you say too much of a good price to not get it.
