I remember that kit from when I was a teenager. Rivet galore :-) Now I've bought the Hasegawe kit, it's 'cleaner'.

Hasagawa makes nice kits, but they never produced a P-61.

43 and 44 do go in those slots, the P-61 used spoilers for banking, those itty bitty things on the tips that look like ailerons are there for “feedback” since there isn’t any from the spoilers. I think the holes on the sides under the canopy are for the radar aerials, I didn’t build this kit but another brand very similar.

I think those are gun barrels there are 4 20mm cannon under the fuse so there should be some indents, I’m guessing if the part doesn’t have an arrow to it’s position , it is “out of view”.

I did this kit 6 months ago, almost threw it out. The booms were twisted ,no matter what I did I couldn't fix it. So I got out the sprue glue, I made it better but it frustrated me. If I didn't pay $60.00 CDN I would have tossed it. I also had an issue with there Classic Westland Whirlwind, just poorly made. But many other kits are just fine. I seem to have bad luck with newly made kits.
