Even the cockpit won't be seen, it is a good practice for airbrushing and hand painting "complicated" areas on for any other model so it worth it to make as you've shown. Thanks!

There used to be a Vulcan Bomber (XL 391} parked at Blackpool Airport in the 90's that you could go and take a look inside and sit in pilots seat etc. Was one of my sons favorite things to go and see. Not sure how the crew got in with their gear on as there wasn't much room in there at all. It was a long drop off that ladder to the runway though. One thing that used to make me laugh was a sign as you entered that said "Dont touch any switches or leavers or you could be at the Tower in 20 seconds" Used scare my lad by fiddlling with them...Good video again Nige thanks.

Hi Nigel great build so far, no real fit issues detected. Just a bit of personal history here. I was stationed at RAF Alconbury in the 1960’s , I think it was 1967, and we had a Vulcan land at the base and I was one of a few that got to go up in the plane for a few circuits around the area near the base. Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures of my ride but it was quite a thrill for me. Sadly the base is no longer in use by the US Air Force, but I throughly enjoyed my time there. Happy to see the return of your mojo all your video’s are a joy to watch. In regards to IPhone storage you might want to consider downloading Google Photos. It’s free and you get about 15 Gigs of free storage on Googles cloud for photos and video. I’ve been using it for years and have never had any issues with it. Might want to check it out as that way you can delete photos and vidoes from your phone to save space. Take care and cheers. Sad to see England lost the Euro2020, but there is always next year.

The detail painting has really made the world of difference here - it's a pity you won't be able to see much of it when it's finished, but it's looking really sharp and impressive.

It's looking good! The black outline on the transparent part is something I must remember, so thanks for that. There's a lot less visible inside the cockpit than I expected, so leaving the canopy unattached doesn't really show a lot. Everyone I know who has an iphone constantly moans about it being full. I'm glad I've got an Android!

The iPhone 6s is pretty much the next model for obsolete status after coming up to 6 years since launch. The minimum spec Apple sell today is 64GB memory, but no one who keeps the pjhone for several years should really buy less than 128GB version (256GB really).

Cheers Nigel, I'm still new-ish to the hobby and still learning. From a building point of view, your patient and methodical approach has taught me a lot. Appreciate you helping me to improve. Just started an ICM 1:48 Spitfire VIII, I think this video is going to improve my fuselage-joining and hopefully reduce the amount of filling I need to do [always the least fun part of the build for me].

Nigel... A log of gate guards, museum aircraft are not true, to their actual identity in real use... Decal sheets are much more accurate to a particular aircrafts at a particular time period... At least in the U.S, you Brits are little better in the displaying end. That be said, another fine job! Thank you sir.

Fun fact, the bomb aimers position and window on the B.2 was a legacy carried on from the B.1, which still required the traditional viewpoint of the prone bomber aimer. On the B.2 this area was never kitted out but remained as a reminder of days gone by.

If the RAF had ever modernised the Vulcan, it would be a natural place to put a laser designator and probably a low light or FLIR unit.

On the color choices: I am aware that not a lot will be visible anyway once the canopy is on, but what are your thoughts on "scale lighting" the black to not get quite as much of a "coal hole" impression of the cockpit?
@NigelsModellingBench3 жыл бұрын
Good idea. I think the seats will stand out nicely through the glazing with the black background.

If you want to maintain your inertia on this build, do yourself a favor and resist digressions like this whole business with sanding in the ladder well, or putting a wash on the seats and painting fire extinguishers that will *never be seen*.
@NigelsModellingBench3 жыл бұрын
Why would I leave a pin mark in a visible area and not paint parts that can be seen through the hatch, like the fire extinguishers?
