This line casts so beautiful and catches fish. I fish it with a couple different polyleaders. I have a Rage for both of my Sage spey rods,

I've got 3 - lovely to cast with Guideline 4D tips on (15' or 18') or Hardy 12' tips for the rocket (?) spey. Just wish they continued with the heavier weights - I managed to get a 660 grain line but would like one in 750+ grain line for my most powerful rods (#11/12).

Suggestions for running line. Size vary according to grain weight of the shooting head? Thanks

Can I pair this with a 9' 7wt single handed rod?

Hi Brian, No this line would not pair well with such a short single handed rod. It is designed for a two hander. If you want to do single hand spey casting with shooting heads Airflo has another option called the Airflo Skagit scout. Found here: yhst-9494565811469.stores.yahoo.net/aisksc.html Another option are OPST commando heads. However, these are skagit style heads, and are designed for a sinking tip presentation. Floating presentation with a floating mow tip is possible, but you lose a bit of your ability to anchor your cast. Best, Sean

They have brought out this line in lower weights now - down to 210 grains/13.6 grams. Something to consider? Rio have a good selection of lightweight tips you can use as do Guideline (ULS 10'/3m tips) or Nextcast for the WA and Salar line ranges (10'/3m and 15'/4.5m).
