Thank you for showing us this. This is the only video showing how to do this. I would love to see how to take off the pistol grip and trigger stuff. I couldn't get my cocking lever to come off even after taking out the 2 grub screws off the hammer housing. So what is the benefit of the hammer spring swap?

I would say that the rife would achieve. without any modification at all a stock rifle can hit those numbers no problem

I had the same issue. what I found worked best was to remove the detent spring for the safety. Its the only spring which runs horizontal. Then it was easy to push it down and pull the hammer tube assembly out.

Thanks for the video guys. Just a question about dry firing it without the valve in place. Is it only with the upgraded spring that this happens? I dry fired my texan a few times with the factory hammer spring whilst I was rebuilding mine after shipping it seemed fine to me after working the mech from cocking to safety off and trigger pull to see that the me h was working properly before replacing the cover, trigger guard and pistol grip. Now I’m concerned I’ve damaged it...

I would be concerned as doing this causes the 2 retaining screws to hit the hammer tube and they will shear off even on a factory set up

Are you putting the big piece of metal in then spring then tuner wheel?

That spring would obviously have more compression BUT how do you control valve bounce with so much preload on the hammer?

@@Tony-o1b inline self regulating valves are not like your your normal knock open traditional valve as the inline valve stays open by using back pressure that it between the valve and bullet and only closes once the bullet exits the barrel so you don't have hammer bounce or valve burping

@@Tony-o1b actually this would be the very first time anyone has ever asked about hammer bounce when it comes to a inline valve also since this video was put out the hammer springs we now use are 55% more powerful than we used in this video

Such low fps for a 80 gn pellet on a stock Texan just fill your gun to 150 bar should hit those numbers easily
