I remember driving in my high school private road, searching for a parking spot, with this wonderful song. In a school district of thousands of students, I swear every single girl stopped my car to ask me who was the artist behind this masterpiece. And those smiles on those mornings... My then girlfriend wasn't so smiling but those moments were really everything for me. Merci beaucoup Nicolas and Jean-Benoît!

I have so many memories wrapped up in this one song alone…good and bad times in the late 90s. Every time I hear it, the memories come flooding back. No better chill out music ever. It also was used in the classic ‘99 film “Go” when they smoke pot and set the Vegas hotel room on fire. Good times.

I have loved this song for a long time but hadn't listened to it for a long while, til my friend Terry shared it during summer. We hung out smoking and drinking, listening to good music, talking shit and laughing. Part way through September he got seriously ill out of nowhere and died a week later. Since then I have listened to this track most days and it's always going to be a reminder. Make the most of your time with the people around you, you never know when it's gonna run out

It wasn't until I looked at the comments on here that I thought back to when I first used to listen to this track. The year 2000, all through the 6 months I spent travelling down the Atlantic coast of Europe in my clapped-out surf wagon, board strapped to the roof, catching waves at all the iconic breaks and working in the vineyards, until finally I arrived at Peniche, Portugal in late November through December. Big waves at that time of year! But I was young and adventurous and I'm so thankful I got to do that! Great people, and great memories and this wonderful track brings it all back.

Thanks for posting. First time I heard AIR it was at a Tower Records free CD listening post. Remember those things? Nobody knows good music like the music store employees. Those days are gone, now. Where can you discover cool new stuff anymore?. Maybe radio KEXP? It takes work to find good stuff, but it is worth it when you find it. The passive majority will never know what they are missing. Rock on active music listeners of all genres. Hello World. 2023.

Awesome!!!! This album was/is so huge 4 me.. When released I heard on Detroit college radio great late night show of WDET Liz Copeland Warner, wrote down the title and purchased.. Played the entire album one night for Rodriguez of Searching for Sugarman '99 while we traded doobies, he was floored and thanked me immensely.. I could tell it gave him energy and hope.. That year I was also artist in residence at Buffalo River national park in northern Arkansas for a month and a half.. Amazing experience in the mountains and pitch dark more stars than I had ever witnessed in my life and we have a cottage in northern Michigan wilderness.. This was beyond that!! The milkyway was dazzling and stars like at our cottage left you dizzy.. I did a lot of night driving in my Crimson Ford Probe which was in great shape.. Speeding through the night mountains, windows down blasting this album and more.. My gf's at the time we would have sex over and over to this album... so much beauty THANKS

Wow, Moon Safari by Air is an absolute masterpiece! 🌙✨ This album takes me on a blissful journey through dreamy melodies and ethereal soundscapes. The combination of electronic and organic elements creates a unique sonic experience that is both soothing and uplifting. Every track is a gem, from the iconic 'La Femme d'Argent' with its mesmerizing bassline to the enchanting 'All I Need' and the infectious groove of 'Kelly Watch the Stars.' The seamless blend of atmospheric synths, haunting vocals, and intricate production makes this album a timeless classic. It's the perfect soundtrack for stargazing or getting lost in your thoughts. Moon Safari has definitely earned its place as a quintessential album in the realm of electronic music. 🚀💫

_Ce Matin La_ -- also from this album -- is my favorite song of all time. It's not even music in the mundane sense. It is the singing of the angels. It is the sound gravity makes when it collapses into a black hole. It is the sound of love making love to itself. It is beauty transcending its own boundaries. It's music, but it always gets me talking grandiose bullshit about how much I like it. And btw, it was on the 'Virgin Suicides' soundtrack, but it's easy to miss. While I was sighing wistfully at Kirsten Dunst, it was playing, so I missed it several times.

I still vividly remember the very first time I listened to this song. In 2007 I was in NL on a scholarship. It was a late afternoon of mid October. It was already dark and a bit rainy outside. The colleague working in my same room asked if I minded if he played some music, and I said go ahead. He put on this album. After a while I asked him who they were, I had never listened to them. It was magical. I instantly fell in love with them. After all these years this is still one of my all-time favourite albums.

A dear departed friend of mine introduced me to this downtempo music. I think the first song I heard was Angel by massive attack and eventually it led me to this. Thank you Tempe. I love you and I miss you.

In case y'all missed it, the live version of this from their recent Moon Safari anniversary tour is incredible. Nicolas Godin is one of the most underrated bass players out there, and they reworked this track into something even more special than it already is. It kicked everyone's arses; they sounded like a *rock* band and that was such a treat. They have a lot more to offer than this early chill out iteration and I hope y'all go check out all the other fantastic music that they're still making. Xo

I heard this first time when I was 5 years old in a radio it was 1996, (at least I tought the song was released 1998). Two decades later I found this song again, it gave shiver to my spine! Two years later I met a french girl after I break up with another girlfiend (we were 3 years together). Can you believe me I just met "the girl of my dreams", I could not stop thinking about her to this day, and this song makes all sense. Some stuff you cannot explain you just feel, this song gives me deja vu for lifetime,

According to Spotify data, by 2020, this was my most played tune over the previous decade…..I doubt it’s been knocked off the top spot. It’s a timeless tune…always fresh! What an opener to a classic album. Perfect track for cruising long journeys…especially as the sun is setting ❤❤❤

I remember this from Big Sonic Chill on FM94.9. They played the entire album in the evening, uninterrupted. I think Midori was the DJ. People thought she was named after the drink. Was a very cool time. Happy they have it on KZbin.
