The man in the house survived because while he was still sane he boarded up the windows and doors leaving no cracks though likely grew insane hearing the sounds of people screaming and the bugs eating people outside of his house leaving him insane but still completely defended so his insane mind took it as a place of complete safety and security until the two characters broke the barricades of course

Airier should react to the tale of Old Man Henderson and his creator, the man who went insane due to dealing with a shitty DM and himself created a character so insane that he managed to ace a game of Call of Cthulu that was stacked against him.

As a fan of Cosmic Horror and Lovecraftian Horror, it being depressingly hopeless is why I much more prefer the horror of Berserk and Bloodborne. Because while the reality shattering Horrors beyond our comprehension are on a literal different plane of power from humanity and could rightfully wipe us out, there's still a chance that we humans can KILL them. It's miniscule and you're more likely to become one of them in your Crusade, but there's still a small sliver of hope that we can kill them as long as we play it smart and most importantly: NEVER SURRENDER.

Another fun thing about Call of Cthulhu as a game. Your MAXIMUM sanity is 100 MINUS your "Cthulhu Mythos Knowledge" skill. So the more you know about the unspeakable horrors, the more likely you'll go permanently mad.

I have made D&D 5e horror campaigns. Typically sees the party facing nothing but deadly encounters, and usually has them outnumbered. One of them is just called Escape from the Amalgam house. It has safe rooms where players can rest and heal, as they venture through the magical maze that is the Amalgam House, all with the goal of getting back into their own bodies and defeating the being behind all the murders and disappearances within the nearby town. Did I forget to mention everyone wakes up as one of three things? Either an Awakened Stuffed Animal or one of three fairies. The other campaign is an adventure into the frozen north to rescue a bunch of kids that went missing from a nearby town.. it’s a christmas themed horror campaign with two options.. either play as the rescuers, or play as the barbarous Snow Elves that are trying to stop them.

So I thought about this for half an hour. How in God's Green Earth did Ben make 10×5=12? Was it that be thought to take one fifth of the first number and add it on? Because 10/5 = 2.

I had a similar incident like the first video with the insanity. After my first time playing dnd 4e, I and the other player got a player's handbook (the DM didn't let us look in his books). We then realized he had calculated the hp wrong. He added the modifier to the base hp instant of the score so we had a lot less hp when what we should have had.

Well if you want a live narration/gameplay he does technically have another channel (inactive) where he posted a Mutants and Masterminds campaign with friends. Sadly Disaster Squad no longer uploads due to issues of timing with the players and Ben. Disaster Squad I believe was the channel name, it was a good story. General overview no spoilers if interested: in a post apocalyptic world, years after portals to another realm open unleashing aberrations on to earth, three people with abnormal powers, become heroes to help the slum population that circles Sanctum, Humanity’s last “Utopian” city. One rich boy who brings life to inanimate things, a girl who manipulates the natural world and a boy terrified of his own gravitational powers work together to survive in this dead world. Helping the slums, Sanctum and each other. I would check it out it is a good story and game. Though left some things unanswered due to its sudden ending, but has a satisfactory ending non the less. Even if you don’t react as session is long, about 45 minutes per half session. (Was posted in part 1/2 and 2/2 per session.) I think you’ll enjoy. Also check out dingo doodles, you’ll love their chaotic campaign. Ep1 is called “I ended the world by singing karaoke” or something similar TLDR: Puffin Forest has a second channel, Disaster Squad. Uploaded a short campaign. Also check out Dingo Doodles.
