Logically Flash can't be the two legged version of her brother because his name is not Shining Armor. Nearly every other significant character carries the same name as their four legged version so how does he make the connection that a character named Flash Sentry is somehow this world's version of her brother Shining Armor?

To answers your questions: Sunset became a demon because as was shown several times, magic corrupts those who can't handle it. The magic in the crown was too much for Sunset to control, and she became corrupted and turned into a demon. There have been several examples of such corruption throughout the series, where characters change physically and personality-wise when corrupted by magic. DWK pretty much nailed Sunset's motives and backstory. It's been revealed that she was never close to her family and that her parents neglected her, and only saw her as a way to promote themselves with her being Celestia's student. So she grew up thinking you had to be successful and have power in order to gain love and affection. As Celestia's student, she basically saw her as a surrogate mother and wanted her approval, so she tried to learn as much as she could as fast as she could, even dabbling in magic she wasn't ready for. Celestia tried to discourage this, which eventually caused Sunset to become bitter and resentful towards her since she was doing it to please her. She felt that Celestia no longer thought she was worthy, which only made her want to prove herself more, making her more ambitious, and so she started to become mean and greedy. She eventually learned of the mirror and thought she would find how to gain the power she sought on the other side, so she went through and got trapped in the human world for years, during which time Twilight became Celestia's student. When the portal opened again and Sunset came back through, she found out that Twilight had replaced her and gained what she had been seeking. Feeling like what was rightfully hers was stolen, she took the crown since she felt she deserved it and tried to run back to the human world with it. This is why she was so resentful and so determine to one-up Twilight. As for Twilight's attraction to Flash, yes it is a little strange with them technically being different species, but ponies are basically the humans in their world. Gong through the portal completely changes you into who/what you would be had you been born in that world. It's heavily implied that time goes by faster in Equestria, which is why Twilight and Sunset became teenagers in the human world, because that's what they would have been had they been born there. Their mentality seems to change to match the world they're in too, which explains why they both act like teenagers in the human world (especially Sunset since she's been there for much longer). It's also why Twilight is attracted to Flash, because she would have been attracted to other humans had she been born in that world, and traveling between worlds completely changes you in that way too (she's also attracted to pony Flash, which was not shown in the video). So really the attraction's not that strange.

Like Sunset's story... Tragic.. With the rest of the movies think it continues and ended more bittersweet Being that time does seem faster in Equestria, and the portal turning them into the stage they Would be there, makes me think of the theory that pony-maturity's younger than our maturity, meaning they'd be more adult than we are at that same age. Like 16 is to 20 and 25 is to 35. At least in culture. ...And a horse I guess

No Flash Sentry isn't Shining Armor, as a matter of fact, a pony version of him actually shows up in the movie. There are also scenes that didn't end up making it into this video, like Sunset hypnotizing most of the student body, so yes, she did do something before she was defeated.

Yes, there is a comic that explains Sunset backstory. She was over taken by her desire to be adored and when she was denied what she thought she deserved she run away and ended in the "human world".

@@titanhades4331 I prefer the fan cannon that she was an orphan Celestia adopted but treated like a student instead of a daughter. So Sunset tried to find love by getting praise for being a better and better student until Cadence showed up and was instantly made Celestia's niece just for being an alicorn. Which made Sunset angry, hurt, and wanting to become an alicorn so she could be part of Celestia's family just to be slapped down by Celestia for seeking power and running away to the human world and getting trapped. Then when she finally returns she finds out she was replaced by Twilight who got everything Sunset ever wanted and more.

Actually it has been established now that Starlight did try to keep contact. Sunburst doesn't read or respond to any of his mail from home. Starlight, being just a little child, obviously would take this as her friend cutting her out of his life after getting his cutie mark,

She was Celestia former student before Twilight even showed up. Sunset nor Celestia handled that situation very well that turned her jaded in which she then escaped in the mirror. I think this is before Twilight even showed up because Twilight didn't know who Sunset was. Twilight became Celestia protege at a very young age (like 6-8). When the Sunset situation happened... she was at least a teenager but more likely an young adult (She has an adult pony body). Assuming Celestia found Twilight right after Sunset left (which is unlikely, probably took years for Celestia to finally decide to take another pupil.) Sunset has to at minimum be like 8 - 10 years older but more likely 15 - 20 years older. She's a full generation before Twilight. It's even possible that Twilight wasn't even born yet when the Sunset stuff happened. Sunset is upset at Twilight because Twilight succeeded where she failed all those years ago and is ultimately what she wants to be. In Sunset eyes, Twilight is a superior version of her.

The reason Sunset was trying to get revenge on Twilight was because Sunset was in Twilight's position and lost it to Twilight. She was Celestia's Student and was meant to take Twilight's role as Element Magic and later a Princess. Then she got impatient and tried to force things using dishonesty and being cruel to those she believes was beneath her. To the point that she left in frustration, with it heavily implied Celestia kicked her out for this new pony that just made herself known, Twilight since Sunset was only a few years older. Basically its the plot of Queen Bee of Highschool losing her position to a younger and just as talented girl and lashing out so she can retake what she believes is her, but with ponies and magic.

It's not her brother, so at least that part of it is not there. And the transformation was from the magic in the crown, corrupted by Sunset. And it's a movie series with some episodes here and there in small bursts.

I think Sunset's backstory was explained in the comics, but, like Sombra's, it was somewhat less satisfying the community head-cannon, which had existed for years before the official answer. I haven't actually read them myself, but that was the impression I got.

@@unripetheberrby6283 I think it was basically: God-Queen Celestial (pre-any losses) chose Sunset as her personal protege; that took over her life even more than it did to Twilight, for years she dedicated 100% of her existence to becoming worthy of the immaculate immortal goddess that had deigned to notice her existence; then a toddler _accidentally_ performed a feat magic she could never hope to match and became the new chosen protege; a devastated and desperate Sunset broke into the forbidden achieves to prove herself by mastering the magics her teacher had thought beyond her, but only earned Celestial disapproval and lost both her position and the only validation she had left; then, with her personal world in ruins, Sunset used the portal she learned about to literally abandon her world and start again. It doesn't really fit how her character has developed now, but that's why ships aren't the only things canons sink ;).

When I was living in south Wales the university roleplay society I went to had someone whom did an open invite 4th ed D&D game... he expected like 4 players but 30 turned up. I've not played D&D since 4th ed, but I did buy my dad the 5th ed starter set for fathers day as he hasn't played since 1st and i thought it might be something fun for us to do during lockdown. As for my little pony roleplay, I don't know much about it. I just saw it on the local hobby shop website, when I ordered my dad's present. I don't even know if it's a dice, token or a pure improvisational acting style game. What other role plays have you considered in the past? Edit:When I was at university, many of the people whom ran games were using them as tools to help develop writing styles. Are you still at university or have you graduated?

Twilight's crown is the Magic element of harmony in Equestria, the most powerful of a collection of gems which power Friendship Rainbow lazers. Sunset Shimmer put it on and absorbed its magic, and for no explicit reason, excessive horse magic in human-land makes them turn into crazed demons with no control of their actions. As for Flash, he's just a boyband-style boy toy who serves no purpose, has no relation, and only shows up in the pony show as a background character.

There are MLP FIM comics that are required to match the cannon of the show, (although not vise-versa) and they did a deeper look into Sunset’s backstory. And they never show her parents ever. So the standard theory was Celestia adopts her. That with The actual story that she was caught looking into some forbidden books trying to become an Alicorn, and Celestia was getting Nightmare moon flashbacks and Celestia wanted to stop it before it got that bad and neither one of them handled it very well. So that mixed with the theory does add credibility to DWK’s comment but this is more of a kid rebelling against their parents, And I always figured (even though it’s never stated) that she just figured the crown was going to turn her into an Alicorn, and never expected it to turn her into a demon. A prevailing theme in EQG is that that kind of power warps the body AND The mind based off of their darker thoughts or desires. In one of them a girls mind is so warped by her desire to be admired that she literally sees the looks of terror on everyone’s face as if they all want to be her and take her picture like she’s a big movie star and not somebody with black eyes floating in the air that could possibly kill them all.
