Sorry for the late response. But we have 4 locations for basic. We have Fort Sill, Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Jackson and Fort Benning which is the one I went into back in 2003. Yup I still have my old Army Green uniform. Now the Army is considering changing the blues back to the WWII Army dress uniform. I'm so honor to see basic training utilizing the Live Convoy Fire training which our unit in 2004 in Iraq helped to established. We helped created that new style training in 2004 when it was first introduced during my first deployment in Iraq. Whole new concept especially in the new era of how we fight.

Not every graduation is the same. Our graduation in Fort Lee, Virginia never had smoke. We wore our ACUs and not our Class A Greens. It varies by installation. The drill sergeants called us by our ranks with our last name and also Soldier(s).

Hey man, I'm leaving to bmt on October 3rd. My job is fuels. I watch as much videos as I can so I can be the most knowledgeable trainee I could be. Watching Air Force youtubers such as yourself has helped me prepare and ready myself for this next chapter in my life. I just want to say thank you so much. What you are doing is amazing and you are helping the future of the United States Air Force. Like you've stated in your past videos, you don't like to get personal. I feel like if you did, it would help us, the viewer, immensely. It would help us relate a lot. I was watching the "why I joined the Air Force" video and it helped me relate a lot. I actually like you being you more than you being this "perfect airman". Although all airmen sought out to be perfect, there are flaws and for a civilian going in, I have many. Seeing that you also have flaws help me realize that at the end of the day you are all people too. You guys had to go through the same stuff I'm about to in bmt and had imperfections the whole way through. I know I'm rambling a lot, it's just these more personal videos are really good and I enjoy them the most.

And the 5th week in basic training we only handled the M16 for a few hours, and just like whose line is it anyways the points don't matter, because you can get a zero and still graduate from basic training, due to the fact that it is just to teach you the functionality of the m16 rifle, and not actually how to shoot it.

In week 2 of Blue Phase, currently on VBL (victory block leave). To answer your first question, there are 4 locations for Basic Training. Fort Sill (Fort Chill), Oklahoma/Fort Benning, Georgia/Fort Leonard Wood (Lost In The Woods), Missouri/and Fort Jackson (Relaxin Jackson), South Carolina. I am currently at Ft. Jackson, about to graduate and go to AIT at Ft. Sill. I'd just like to point out that things have changed by an incredible amount. First off, Drill Sergeants have to seriously watch what they say. There's a newer policy in place called SHARP (Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention), which is apparently a huge issue. Second, there's your EO (Equal Opportunity) act. So basically if you call someone a "fag" or anything demeaning, you will get an Article 15 (basically) and bye bye. Basic is super easy. I am in the works of becoming a 13F (FISTER), which is somewhat an Infantry MOS, but 11B (Infantry) will tell you otherwise. We hardly ruck march, we've only done it like 2 or 3 times since we started basic. We PT'd constantly during Red Phase, and THE DAY we entered White Phase we were given Live Ammo and taken to the range to get Grouped and Zeroed on our M4 irons. You don't even have to qualify with Iron Sights. Graduation requirement States that the only qual that matters is with your M68 red dot. I shot a 39, but honestly the range was busted and my 250m target kept popping up and down (which counted as hits somehow). All of White Phase was spent at the range and learning about our rifles. Then came Blue Phase. First of all, the PT standards have changed from a 50% minimum to a 60% minimum. Not a huge deal, but we have our fair share of recycles because of it. The longest run we have done was 8 miles, and it was a Post Run, so it was slow as shit. We qual'd on the M249 SAW and M320 grenade launchers, and a few days later qual'd on grenades. We have "The Forge" coming up as soon as we get back, which is a new graduation requirement implemented into the Army. Our cycle is the first in our Battalion to ever do The Forge. 5 days and 5 nights out in the South Carolina woods performing realistic scenarios and ruck marching 50+ miles (within those 5 days of course). Honestly it seems BCT is nothing like it used to be. Also could be that I'm at Ft. Jackson, (don't tell my DS I said that). All in all not a bad video. We have a guy in our platoon that's prior service with the Chair Force, says the Army BCT isn't nearly as hard. Lmao

I have been watching your videos so that I can be knowledgeable when I show up at boot camp. I want to shoot for honor grad. I was going to ask, if you happen to know, if you are in basic during Christmas do they give you leave to go home for Christmas or no because you are still in training? Thanks again for all the advice and what you do for the next wave of airmen.
@MartinProductions7 жыл бұрын

I really need your advice, I'm currently in the process of enlisting, I'm at the part where I'm about to do my physical & I have a specific job I want to get into which is security forces, I don't want to go under open general but my recruiter just told me I have to go under open general or else go to school or find another branch( I have texts to prove that he told me this) how should I go about this, I really need your help cause I feel as if I'm being treated unfairly.
@MartinProductions7 жыл бұрын
Robby Kithcart you are entirely. You can wait for that specific job. They can't force you into anything

@Rennatheeomnipotent7 жыл бұрын
Martin Productions he never gave you the option to wait for another job? If not you need to find another af recruiter because it sounds like he's just helping you out for a check. A recruiter is suppose to do way more then that.
