Congratulations, fantastic aircraft. The Sub70 UK category is an amazing idea. All aero clubs in the world should have these trikes for pilots who cannot afford Cessna airtime. Nothing safer than weight shift control... Soon we see an Electric Snake powered by some cheap and reliable E system, for sure. The future of sport aviation is the Sub70 cat no doubt about that. Great video mate! It's rare to just see things so clearly narrated and recorded without distracting editing, in real-time. I have a couple questions: - you mention that you could have tethered pins on the axles to save a few seconds... but i noticed that the wing has the amazing wired connectors with quick release pins, but when it comes to the trike there are all these loose parts just begging to get dropped in the sand/mud/grass/objectmagnetofyourchoice. Why on earth WOULDN'T you replace all those with the same kinds of captive connectors, and why doesn't the Snake come with those to start? Such connectors are commonplace in the sailing community and have stood the test of time. - what does the folding kit for the wing include/require? - is there any front-strutless version? Thanks very much!!

Hi. To answer your questions; 1. Quick-release pins cost around £20 each as opposed to about 50p for a clevis pin/bolt. We can of course supply either direct from the factory. 2. I'm guessing you're referring to the wing short-pack? This is standard on all of our wings and allows removal of the outer leading edge tubes to reduce the packed length for storage or transport. No tools are required but it'll add a few minutes to the rigging time. 3. No, the front strut is a structural component. To create a trike without this triangulation for strength would require a lot more weight, which kind of defeats the point of these lightweight trikes. No problem. I actually edited this all together during lockdown but haven't had a good enough internet connection to upload it until now. It's a nice simple process and the ability to hobble the trike makes it relatively easy on windy days. Hopefully the video will be useful to a few people.

Isn't the rear undercarriage easily bent? I cant see any cables, just the axles which must flex and bend. Are they just aluminium?

So far, none of the UK fleet have suffered any damage like that. The undercarriage legs are made from solid 25mm Ergal 7075 (roughly the strength of steel but with much lower weight). They're actually machined down with a taper to produce some suspension spring as they're too stiff otherwise. Overall gives a much cleaner aircraft and allows easy removal of the undercarriage legs for transport.

Nice design But!! The seat/ harness looks uncomfortable I maybe wrong, a black petrol tank? you won’t be able to see your fuel level.

Hi Dean- wrong on both counts I'm afraid ;) The hammock seat moulds to your shape so is a lot more comfortable than most padded seats. I've had 4+hr flights in it and been fine. Also the black tank has a transparent panel built into one side. Hope that helps!

Yes, the Snake holds the current world record for distance flown without engine power, and the seat was comfortable throughout. Obviously if you're concerned about it you'd be welcome to come and try it for size as soon as lockdown rules permit.
