This is a song by the great Roy Buchanan, you should give some of his music a listen. He was one of rock’s most tragic figures. Insanely talented, held in awe by his world-famous peers,(Jeff Beck idolized him, Gary Moore, Eric Clapton and SRV. Buchanan was a tortured soul whose pain could be clearly felt through his music. He was known as the Master of the Telecaster, The Worlds Greatest Unknown Guitarist, The tragedy of his life was twofold: first, that in spite of his off-the-charts abilities, he was never known to the general public, but rather familiar only to serious rock fans and secondly, that he was found dead, hanging in a jail cell in Fairfax County, Virginia at the age of 48. You often hear of guitarists who can make the instrument “cry” or “sing”, Roy could do all that and then some. The only artists who even come close are Jeff Beck (who matches Buchanan for technique but not emotion) and the late Gary Moore, whose coverer the song is considered a tribute of his deep admiration of Roy's groundbreaking talent. Listen to "Roy's Bluz", "Hey Joe (Tribute to Jimi Hendrix)" , Ramon's Blues" "Turn To Stone" and "Wayfaring Pilgrim". And that's just a taste.

Going churchy to cover up acting like pedo Sinatra, Nugent or Gene Simmons is something that can't be glorified. Hopefully soon the FBI files on pedo Sinatra and Gene Simmons will be public info so musicians have a better goalpost of personal behavior to understand. Not that it should be required. But allowing pedo SINatra's career to keep going despite raping and molesting 23 underaged girls while the men were abroad defending Democracy during WW2, yeah, you bet kkkunty piece of dirt Francis Sinatra needed mob protection arranged by Roy Cohn. Trump's gay mentor. Historical facts bub.

Gary Moore, formerly of Thin Lizzy, is from Belfast Northern Ireland. But he lived here on the south coast of England for many years and I met him locally a couple of times. To talk to, he was a softly spoken, unassuming guy. But on stage, he gave 100% in passion and energy. He also had a good voice, especially for blues/rock fusion music which he pursued @ 1990 onwards. Legend RIP.

That guitar is famous. It's called Greeny Moore. It belonged to Peter Green who was part of the original Fleetwood Mac . Then Gary Moore owned and now it's on stage with Kirk Hammett of Metallica. He bought it for 2 million dollars. Its a 58 or 59 Gibson Les Paul known for its ability to sing and sustain.

I think he's playing Peter Green's (Fleetwood Mac) famous guitar, Greeny. He owned and played it for quite a while. Like other's said, this is a Roy Buchanan song, who did a great version. Roy was a tragic figure. There are echos or callbacks or tributes to Roy's playing throughout this song (like singing effects using the volume knob, a Roy trademark thing). You should definitely check out some Roy songs or the old PBS special on him "The Greatest Unknown Guitarist In The World"

Gary Moore indeed, that man killed no matter if in Thin Lizzy, as a solo rocker or later in his career, as a blues master. His solo rock career for me was very exciting as I got to see him back in the day on his Corridors of Power then Victims of the Future tours, he was looking to make a statement in those days and came out blazing. Try Don't Take Me For a Loser, a slamming banger and a taste of what he was all about before he left rock to become a blues Ikon. Don't forget his rocking solo career, you will be richly rewarded if you take a chance on it and explore his entire career, he was one of the greats. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎶

Gary Moore was from Northern Ireland, Belfast. I didn't know it was him but I first heard him when he was with Colosseum ll back in 1977, a rock fusion band. I caught them live on BBC radio one night and I recorded it on my cassette player. "Intergalactic Strut" and "The Inquisition" are some heavy hardcore prog fusion rock instrumentals that I listen to when I'm in the mood. I guess I kind of got into that music listening to Jeff Beck when the Wired album was released about the same time frame 1976-1977. Awesome guitar work with great musicians in the band!
