Call it 🍎 magic or just placebo, but i DO think theres a difference between the standard 256 bitrate you get on spotify or YT and what you get on Apple Music even if the BT codec is limited to 256. It's just not the same. The only reason i keep paying for Apple Music is bc i can notice the difference. Everybody says its indiscernable on BT, but trust me you can hear it.

I agree, there is definitely a difference even on Bluetooth and mostly because the albums on Apple Music are "mastered for iTunes", they've been doing this for many years but also probably because downsampling from a lossless file to Bluetooth 250kbps is a more bit-perfect stream rather than having an mp3 file at the source like Spotify has. My main point in the video was that Bluetooth over Apple devices sounds worse than on those like Android phones with LDAC etc. but yes if I had to choose a streaming service for iOS I'd choose something like Apple, Qobuz or Tidal instead of Spotify. I bought them few days ago and in my opinion, they are really great. I had a constant noise on my Sony XM4 and they were not that comfortable for me, so I sent them back. Honestly if you need it urgently for things like travel or noise cancellation it's still a good time to buy them. They are still the best in my opinion. But I know the frustration, there could be a new model coming at some point, we all know how Apple tricks their customers into buying "the latest" product even if it's not a major upgrade. I don't think a new redesigned model will come next year tho, hard to say...

I am waiting for the Airpods Max 2nd Generation... USB-C alone is enough of a reason for me to wait but since by the time the next generation is released it'll be 4+ years likely since the 1st generation launched I am sure the difference between the two headphones will be worth the wait :D

First leaks pointing towards 2024 and no other upgrades bar USB-C. If thats the case I think Gen1 will be a very good deal to still breaht some life into your old lightning cables that otherwise would go into the bin.

@@tRIXelele I can’t imagine them not doing some audio improvements and also adding the adaptive transparency mode and conversation detection They also said AirPods Pro 2 and Vision Pro could do lossless audio because of a special chip so they should add that to the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen and the next generation of iPhone too

I can't wait for the 2nd gen tbh, I'll be definitely reviewing them as soon as they come out! Hopefully we see something coming out this year. I'm hoping they will add the wifi streaming feature on those like they did on AirPods Pro+Vision Pro, they surely can do that for Mac and iPhones too but we all know how Apple uses their marketing tactics haha.

Thank you! I’d suggest to actually lower the treble on your eq at around 15kHz. These headphones are already pretty bright as standard.

Thanks for the comment! I would look at brands like Sony or Bose, they're more affordable than Apple and have pretty decent quality. Sonos are releasing their first headphones on June 5th, so that might be something to look at too, although not sure how affordable those are :)

It's been documented that while not technically lossless bc of the extra conversion, theyre good up to 24/48, just not quite there. Which is why they do sound noticeably better wired, but apple cant advertise lossless compatibility due to the technicality.

Wired apparently they're receiving information below 1411kbps, the bit depth and sample rates don't really matter that much if the bitrate is below lossless as you still lose information. Obviously this is probably very minimal over cable and not much is lost there but for audiophiles this triggers the OCD for sure :D (id did for me sometimes lol)

Why are the metal arms more loose on the new models than before. I bought mine brand new a few days ago and the arms aren’t stiff at all they’re actually quite loose and I’ve tried to exchange them actually I’ve exchanged them like 5 times and the result is the same every time! So Apple is making them looser than before… or is it just me 🤷🏾‍♂️

Looking at maybe getting a pair for college but worried about the condensation issue. Have you had this before to the point you've had to replace it? Is it worth getting apple care + alongside it?

I would buy them without worrying tbh. I don't think the condensation issue happens often, otherwise it would have been well known across the media. I know some people talk about it but I think it's overstated. Overall these are great bluetooth headphones. I haven't got apple care+ on mine but I generally look after all my apple products, so I guess it depends from person to person

Great video I actually have the Bose QC earbuds ultra as far as transparency, noise, cancellation, and music. It beats the AirPods max not only because of the EQ settings but in overall, I highly recommend them. They are small and compact.

Cmon dude AAC can do 320kbits or more easily. It did 256kbits variable bitrate 20 years ago.

That's incorrect. AAC can do a max transfer rate of 250kbps even today and up to 24bit 96khz. Look it up :)

I'm sorry to hear, I had this issue with my AirPods Pro, then I went to Apple store and they gave me a free replacement as they couldn't identify the problem, although they were our of warranty. Apple sometimes does free replacements even outside warranty if they have a common fault or suddenly stopped working. Try take them in if you have a store nearby!
