We have stopped at this park several times during our travels. We always make a point to visit Homestead Heritage Farm during our visit. Homestead Heritage is an agrarian- and craft-based intentional Christian community.

One of my favorite COE parks. I've stayed in every loop and it is a great place to relax. I don't mind the sound from the airport at all.

Thanks for the review - we were there last week (right after the eclipse), but the storms were terrible (our weather radio went off multiple times during the night!) and we had a family situation come up and had to leave early. Was awaken by a plane coming in (probably around 3:30 am) sounding like a tornado (see note above about weather!) and blinding me (I had my curtain open). The lake was "white capping!" Waco was fun! We'll be back!

We loved Airport Park. We got a lakeside site so we pulled our small class A straight in so we could enjoy the view from the big front windows. ❤️

We stayed at SPEEGLEVILLE PARK,site 4,on Waco Lake back in 2021. We had a gorgeous site but the restrooms were not up to par from what we expect at COE parks. The dump station was okay. The seven week trip from Illinois to Texas was based on the thorough information we learned from your videos. Thank you!

Just down the road from me, hope y’all enjoyed your time in Waco. Later in the spring, that whole place was underwater after some more torrential downpours.

Love this park. Camped there a couple of times and visited Waco's attractions. Don't confuse it with the park next door, Waco Beach Park. The National park pass is honored here.

Very informative and honest evaluation. No reason for that front entrance if they have a larger entrance. That sign should be cut down so people don't scrape on it. Thanks for the video

Good video 😊 just asking since your connected to Newmar there laying people off and maybe the quality will go down winnebago owns them there seems to be trouble thru out the rv manufacturers and dealers I'm in the future would purchase a Newmar 🤔 safe travels
@rvamericayall9 ай бұрын
It’s because of the economy but production is probably being reduced because of fewer sold so they don’t need as many workers, we don’t think quality will be affected. We would sure buy another Newmar without hesitation.

Why the blue blocks on back axle tires? Speeding thru parks or even parking lots is an issue everywhere 😮 we always enjoying you information/video’s! ❤

They are leveling blocks, the jacks needed a little help because of the unlevel site!

As nice as it is the previous lake (on the same site) was far more beautiful. Notwithstanding, the current dam and the enlargement of the lake was seen as a necessity and now engulfs the former. On a darker note, there were gang turf wars that screwed it for everyone and nobody was safe. Because of that the corp. was forced to barricade off much of what otherwise accessible. Knowing the former Park Ranger personally has given us some insightful facts and stories that some would and some wouldn't believe. Personally I wish they'd open the entire lake back up to the public like back in the day. Speegleville Park is another of two other parks on Lake Waco that offer boat ramps and camping also (FYI). 😅

We live close to this park (3-4 miles away). We go under burn bans every year during the summer and occasionally a few other months during droughts. Surrounding cities like Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin, and moving east from here get quite a bit more rain and more often than we do.

I have 'wondered' for the last several years,,,,just what the heck is the deal with the COE Parks???? A few,,,are very nice, Lake of the Pines,,,,Cooper Lake,,,,, and others, but the majority are just 'reeking' of neglect. And, what a shame to have great properties just ignored and neglected. What a shame.

The grass was up to our calves when we were there. Also our grill was bent over and rusted. People next to us and down the street played music so loud we couldn’t hear our tv inside. Not impressed with this COE’s up keep.
