I can relate 100%. I went to Pak alone after 12 years in USA. I was treated far worse in Karachi airport than I have ever been treated at an American airport being a brown muslim. This incident has made me reconsider my travels to Pakistan and I really feel bad for anyone who is not used to this sort of environment.

In india as well on a few domestic airport there would be 5 stages sometimes and most times 4 stage.. 1. car check point (for taking tolls) 2. Gate (where they check ticket to let the passenger get in) 3. check in counter line ( sometimes electronic/automatic check in counter but yes even in tier two domestic airport there are more than 4 counters per airlines) 3. Bag scanning and tagging/ locking (before chekin counters) 4a . immigration (for international travels, not in domestic travels) 4. security check (after collection of boarding pass

Exactly 100% accurate.. and the logic for old dollar note scam is that a crisp and new dollar note is exchangeable easily all around the world. Whereas an old note with any stain or a rubberband mark is rejected or given less in return by international currency exchange house around the world. So they take advantage of clients by taking new notes and giving them old ones.

I'm from hyderabad India The Hyderabad Airport is 2nd best in India.... You will feel the ambience of top intl airports here in Hyderabad airport... And process is very simple and quick so daily thousands of passengers travelling from here..... Last time when I return from Saudia I landed in delhi Intl airport and Im shocked.... The Delhi airport is damn good and best in cls.... No khachra Or no disturbance only pure class airports....

@@taranbirsinghdulai4732 It takes hardly 20minute from the departure gate to the boarding gate in Indian airport.. I guess it is enough for the travellers.. And security is not too tight as you're saying.. I have been to multiple cities whether it's a huge metropolitan or a small city I had no issues with the securities in airport.. Uber and Ola are always available and wifi is free. Luxury stores are available for shopping like Burberry, Christian Dior and so on in the major airports.. Big bars and lounges like The Irish House is available with many food Chain stores are there in every major airports... Airport Express subway system is available at Delhi Airport.. Hotels like JW Marriott, Roseate, Pullman are there near Airports in every major cities except Bangalore and Hyderabad.... We have one of the beautiful terminal in the world CSIA T2 and the 8th largest terminal in the world Delhi T3.. What else do you need??

The new Islamabad Airport is very good in comparison. I've traveled though it multiple times. Infrastructure is world class. Free wifi. Many check in counters. Just 2 checking stops. Good food court and business class lounge is great. The staff is very friendly as well.

I dont know why this is the case in Karachi airport. I always found Lahore airport very decent and smooth in execution. Let me share you my story about my airport visit to travel to europe. I live in Lahore, so I entered in Lahore airport without any interruption, police guys just saw my face and let me in without any checking (They saw my body language whatever). Two police officers just saw my airport ticket which also does make sense, because many people usually bought wrong tickets so their duty is to catch that people, otherwise they are going to create mess inside the airport. I entered in departure area, I placed my bag on a belt, the security guy who checked me was very humble and well mannered. He had gloves on. He greeted me very well. Moved towards the counter collected my boarding pass without any delay. Went to immigration counter. All the officers were hardly 25 to 30 aged. They had best quality cameras. He asked me some basic questions, Which country you are travelling and why? It took me 1 minute to complete my first immigration step. Then I move to another immigration counter for final check. The lady was very humble and asked my what you do? Again 1 minute. Then I move to final security checking, The guy was even more cool. And he said have a nice trip sir. In the end I must say, it is all about your confidence and body language, Officers usually handle thousands of people. And about 80 percent are dumb and illiterate people. In my time I saw many people were carrying prohibited items in their bags. And they were frequent traveler and were giving lame excuses to security people. SO if this happens what behaviour you would expect from officer in return?

Bro i also travelled frm Lahore airport to London Heathrow last year, this was my first lone experience on airport. Everything else was all right but there were 6-7 steps involved until you reach the lounge.when i came back to 🇵🇰 from Heathrow, the steps involved were only 3! .I couldn’t believe my eyes that I reached the lounge so early. This is something that has to be done otherwise no problem at all. Secondly i agree with junaid’s point that there is a person posted for rechecking whether the entry stamp is placed or not. Then again after collecting my luggage, two officers asked me the information about what i was carrying...

I had same expeience at Lahore airport.....anti Narcos checked my bag first, litteraly next desk of FIA checked my bags again and then on the immediately next table it was airport security who asked me to show my bags again to which i refused to show. I even asked him what is the reason behind me being checked for the 3rd time and the guy said agar unko dikha diya hai toh mujhe bhi dikha do 🤣.....main ne bola bhai yeh hijre aswad toh hai nahi jis ko bosa dena hai yeh mera bag hai.......anyway good effort bhai.....keep it up!

The moment airplane's door opened when I was once getting off, the smell of sewage rushed into the plane from the jet bridge, everyone including the crew was shocked. It was due to some vent failure but gave me a memory I could never forget.

What you are describing has been the experience of every Indian traveler 15-20 years ago. Most things are a lot better now, on par with global standards. The only thing that could be improved is the immigration process. It can take an hour sometimes just to go thru it.

In India it's very smooth but my experience on Paris airport was very pathetic. They are also too slow. I was waiting in line for 2 hrs for security check and immigration. In UAE, Germany, USA, Saudi, Britain, Swiss experience is great but France is pathetic. In India smoking lounge as well as prayer room for Muslim community is available at all aiports except air forced managed airports.

@@saranshgupta9119 I had terrible blue experience at Indian airports. Lost our luggage twice and authorities are terrible. Extremely expensive for under quality items at duty free outlets. Cleaners always look for tips at wash rooms, less talk about cabs.

Nah. Went to Turkey from Multan International Airport and had to go through only three stages to wait in the waiting room like any other Airport. 4 years ago, we had a domestic flight from Karachi International and again, no problem faced except flight delay. This is the first time I disagree with you. The worst airports are of Saudi Arabia since I have experienced them myself. Also most of the Pakistani airports have water dispensers whereas you cant find free water on any other foreign airports. The major problem is the people who come to pick up their near and dear ones in a large number who cause overcrowding.

I travel every year and its such a pain to just go thru this whole process. But the worst part is the restrooms. And i cringe thinking of foreigners going thru that experience. Literally at KHI airport urinal has a knob like a faucet to flush it. I mean WTF? 9:00 Its a weird thing, but money exchangers give you different rate if you have a bad currency. Try exchanging a bad $100 bill, they wont give you rate they have posted.

So very true. I have been living in the US since 1990 and and visit Pakistan once every couple of years. Airports in Pakistan surprise me every time. Why are they so badly managed and planned? Surely, the people responsible for planning and management have seen other airports outside the country. The number of processes and checks a traveller must go through is unreal!

I visited the revenue department of PIA to get a refund of my web ticket to Toronto. While the refund was being processed, I asked for mobile phone charger from 3 different employees as a favor who didn't had a charger so I moved on. Then I saw a 4th PIA employee having charger cable plugged into his computer. When I asked that employee if I can charge my phone. He rejected my request in taunting manner. When I told him not to taunt like that, he stood up as if to attack me. I grabbed his collar to defend myself. Suddenly almost 25 other PIA employees started beating me. Then they took me to supervisor's room and slapped me there in presence of the supervisor to which the supervisor objected but the supervisor kept trying to convince me that I was wrong and tried to alter the details of the interaction but I refused to admit their version so they gave up and asked security to walk me out of the building. Security staff told me that they are also upset with the PIA staff and encouraged me to submit an incident report, which I did. I know for a fact that nothing will change and no action will be taken. I'm only bringing the complaint on record to warn other passengers to take extreme caution for their own safety when dealing with PIA. Incident Date: Jan 06, 2021 Incident Time: 03:00 PM Incident Location: Inside PIA Revenue office building near old Karachi Airport Off Star gate

We used have have similar issues at airport around d 15 years back. Than govt set the priorities to make India a business and travel destination accordingly situation I.roved tremendously. Now in most of airports we have checked in kiosks, web checking etc. Delhi Airport is the busiest a d best airport in Asia as mumbai. Govt should lease the airport to pvt sector. They can do better management and becomes profitable too.
