Oh, being late diagnosed ADHD, I feel the "Hey, it's no one's fault, but I gotta go" thing so hard. Realizing that I've been overstimulated my *entire* life, and that no, I don't have a short fuse, I am actually just firing every sensory cylinder at once, and that's *bad* has been such a kick in the teeth. My family is slowly understanding like, "Oh, we gotta let her sort herself out so that she doesn't explode," but it's still hard. Like, how do you explain to someone that the sound of them breathing makes you want to peel your own skin off...and that not be taken personally? It's a nightmare. Good on you both for taking time away to get back to neutral. It's a difficult thing to do.

Live music in Chicago is definitely….a scene for sure. As soon as you started talking about it I burst out laughing bc I have a grocery list of high school friends who had garage bands in the Chicagoland area that easily could have been that person singing off key 😅
