How to play with others in a world where grown children go around screaming about the dying bees. You can't reason with them. You can't silence them. All you can go is engage their imagination properly. It's easy forget all of are pretending so hard we end up taking each other's fantasies too seriously. After all, all of us are long children pretending to be something real in the collective imagination of make-belief.

I was one of those who thought we needed to save the bees. I was planting flowers and creating bee homes in my backyard. To bee honest (pun intended), I most certainly annoyed people while I played my bee saver martyr role. I (thankfully) grew out of that and realized the errs of my ways. And now I have to remember compassion (and not annoyance) when I hear someone else playing that silly game I used to play. The hardest thing for me is to have compassion for those versions of myself that used to be so irritating and to also remember that I may be doing something now that I will look back on and think, oh geez, I did it again.
