Airsoft Basics - Assault Loadout

Walk through of a light and effective airsoft assault loadout. After six years of juggling gear this what I have settled on as the most effective loadout, at least for me.

That’s overkill all you need though is your clothes, mask, goggles, pistol with holster, like 3 extra mags at most for your assault rifle and 2 extra mags for pistol and than your AR and tac vest and if your running co2 maybe an extra mag canister

You must spray alot if you can go through 4000 rounds... I usually use around 700 BBs in an entire day. Ill load up all my mags when i get to the field and then I usually dont need to reload my midcaps

+fatsackcat What you need to bring really depends on what games you're playing. This guy clearly does Ops and Milsims with all that gear. If you are just doing skrims and CQB, you don't need to carry much. Just refill your mag between games and you're good to go.

I don't carry the bottles of BBs in game, they are for reloading between rounds. We usually play all day so I can go through 2000~6000bbs and I don't like leaving the field to reload.

Im sorry sir, but for all you beginners out there: ALL YOU NEED TO HAVE FUN IS AN AEG AND FACE PROTECTION. EVERYTHING HE LISTED BESIDES THE GUN AND EYE PRO ARE UNNECESSARY. You dont need a paintball mask, they are often expensive and bulky. The Pyramex I-Force Ones and OneTigris Half mesh half fabric masks are cheaper, and less bulky. It also allows you to utilize your iron sights because of the fabric on the cheeks. 9.6 V and 11.1 V batteries will significantly increase your trigger response, plus it doesnt really matter because they're all re-chargeable. You don't even need that many mags. Just have fun. All this gear he has will run you AT LEAST $300 US. Go rent yourself some gear, and have some fun :)

It's the mAh that determines how long it lasts. I used to use a 3000mAh on my P90 that lasted all day. My Magpul PDW took a 700mAh battery that I would change every 500 rounds. Depends on the draw of the gun too.

The stuff that i would use in an airsoft battle are the vest, extra mags, holster, flashlight, knife, armored gloves, knee guards, SCAR_L or M4, Spring-powered Colt 19-11 pistol, binoculars, walkitalki, and camo clothing.

+Metal Lizerd Gaming I feel you man it's all about hunting the deals I got my primary (echo 1 ak) with 2 high cap mags and secondary ( we tech 1911) for $130 I got the googles and then a mesh mouth guard and then vest and thats the basics of my loadout and only ran me about 300 but it wasn't a simple find it all depends on what you want. I personally don't like m4s so I ended up paying a bit more for a different more russian setup.

Really 7 mid caps 840 rounds I think it is a little to much but play the sport how every you want I carry 3 mags 1500 rounds I never run out of ammo and a battle belt and a dye i4 that all you need for cqb and out door games but not for a milsim for all the new players you don't need to look like you are going to Afghanistan the first time you play first time I played I wore a Hoody and jeans.

yeah i agree with you on the mask vest and gloves because ive been shot with a gas l96 and stuck into my chest and i was 3 wearing a shirts, my tooth chipped from a 400 fps gun just slightly, and finally i had bbs stick into my hands ( if i had a nickle for every time i was shot in the hands. i would probably have 10 dollars)

He does have a point for wanting a full mask instead of just glasses, but I don't find it easy to shoot with those. For this reason, I wear protective eyewear, a tactical helmet (except when I snipe; then I use a camoflauge hat system), and a lower face mesh protector. It's very useful, maybe try one out.

I recommend using one of those plate carriers. They are used by many people they carry a lot of ammo and you could by fake plates off amazon.

a great loadout for begginners. i would advise for some full finger gloves. i had fingerless gloves for awhile until my index finger was shot and lost feeling for a day and a half. Lower-face mesh masks are also nice for use with the "cool tactical glasses" you were talking about. but the rest of the gear is very good. i didnt even think of carrying that "fast mag" so thats something i'll probably add to my loadout

with the gloves i usually have my trigger hand as a finger less light weight and thin glove but on the other hand or what i call the guard hand i have a hard armored glove and that is because i don't like the feel of the armored gloves when im shooting and i usually have blisters on my knuckles after a day of airsoft and it hurts like hell and so i use the armored glove basically as a shield for my trigger hand. i found it useful and i hope this helps someone else who plays airsoft or paintball :)

I use the small 100rd speed loaders on my 120rd mids on purpose. I only load the 100rds, not max it out. This prevents jamming inside the mag and keeps the spring in better condition so it feeds quickly.

So my team and I use about 5,000 rounds to 10,000 rounds a day. We conserve our ammo and don't spray everywhere so if he uses more than 1,000 rounds per round then he must be an interesting shooter. Especially if he plays indoor fields which I could be wrong. Also, I run a 9.6 1600 and it lasts me over 8 hours of playing.
