I get why people cheat, and say they don't want to call their hit. In a way they are chasing the high of succeeding in combat, which is natural, and everyone gets past that phase in their own time, and learns how much more meaningful it is when you earn it for real without getting hit. So then when you do get hit, you laugh at yourself because you caught yourself making a miscalculation, which is just as much fun as making a good play. Something video games fall short on I think.

Nah, this isn’t how to handle this situation at all, there are a lot and a lot of cheaters out there, no you shouldn’t call them out because it causes confrontations like this, but you should tell a Marshall if you genuinely believe they’re cheating, that way Marshall’s can keep an eye on that person. Reacting the way KM did is one way to get yourself in a fight, I know a lot of guys that wouldn’t accept being screamed at like that, even if they’re in the wrong. Many sites would also ban both players for this sort of reaction, and rightly so, both players took this too far.

I do a similar hobby. The rule is to hand it to the marshalls if you suspect cheating so they can be watched, not to confront the player in the field. I respect the apology though and it takes guts to broadcast the outburst.

My own brother did that in many sports and games as well, even as an adult. He did it because there's an obsessive need in him to always win, no matter what. Like his entire value and worth as a person will crumble if he ever lose to someone else, even if it's to me, his own brother. Every competition is literally a life and death situation for him. So he has a habit of lying in games every now and then...as long as the judges didn't see clearly or are unsure. And he can get extremely vindictive if ever I call him out on it, lol.

I was playing at pheonix this Sunday with a trench coat and shield. And on my team there were several accusations of you and a friend not taking hits. But honestly I genuinely feel like a lot of people just don't notice that their guns do not have the range that they think that do and that they can't just counter snipe from miles away. I think the way you handled it at first by attempting to clear up the misunderstanding was fair and just, where you stepped over was by pushing the issue further after he refused, by that point CLEARLY they're not looking to be fair, theyre looking to be "right" so by getting the marshal in on it you've done the only thing you couldve done to make him wrong... by the way the marshal spoke, it sounded like that player has already been told once to "shut his trap!"

I think it's likely enough that since it was shooting through brush he genuinely thought it was a hit, just like some of the people that Mustang hits genuinely don't think they were hit. Mustang probably took it too far, but when you are accused of cheating all the time it can be easy to power up vs staying calm. Love the content though. Super fun to watch.

I would've reacted the exact same way if not worse to someone unfairly accusing me of cheating during an airsoft game.. Especially if there was mention of that topic not being aloud to be discussed in the briefing before the game. I can't even imagine what I'd do under the amount of scrutiny that KickingMustang faces on a daily basis. Just watching videos of airsoft cheaters makes me heated enough to want to start a fist fight. As a non-airsoft player myself, I have to say I really appreciate the self-realization that you had after the event but also totally understand the frustration expressed in the moment. As a potential future player in the sport, I'd have to say I'd be quite intimidated if I knew you were on the field. The guy called you a cheat, after cheating himself. I think you conduct yourself in the best way possible, in most scenarios, and seem to be able to let go of your pride, even when you are serious about airsoft. I mean, I am serious about art, and if anyone would accuse me of not knowing anything about art, I think that would cut deep into my pride and easily cause me to overreact. I am not sure though, as it has never happened ... yet.

Watching your videos, I feel that if you ever did make a mistake, you’d call yourself out and take yourself off the field etc. I hope that guy who made a false accusation learns a lesson (though usually if they have that mindset they just get more aggressive and never change).

calling someone a cheater is obviously bs , u cant cheat in reallife and breaking rules on battlefields is kinda Boring. but those PPL will always be there in some point. i would get pissed off by it also, gladly that u have a mancam on you. i never played airsoft, but its realy nice to watch your videos and it is also funny. From what I've seen - Airsoft cheaters & FPS cheaters are very similar. Airsoft - Claim they weren't hit. FPS - Claim they lived on low health. Airsoft - Accuse others of cheating. FPS - Accuse others of cheating. Airsoft - Not fun to talk to. FPS - Not fun to talk to. Airsoft - Hated by the community. FPS - Hated by the community.

People need to understand that head shots are just part of the game. If you sign up to play, you are agreeing to possibly get shot in the head or face. Any field that bans head shots is NOT doing their players any favors by doing so. In fact, it provides an opportunity for players to cheat by getting behind cover with only their head sticking out, therefore being unkillable. Any field that bans head shots should realize this, and drop this idiotic rule. If you don't want to get injured from a head shot, simply wear proper face and eye protection like most people with common sense. James often aims for the head and enjoys a good dome shot, however, most of his targets are usually behind cover, giving him limited options on where to aim. Let's talk about the real issue of cheating and people not taking hits since it's the most common cheat that people pull. James keep doing what your doing, and keep up the great work! Stay strong and resilient towards the trolls and bandwagon banners ha. Good on ya mate!

For people who haven’t played a lot or have low standards calling hits is extremely hard. I would know lol (especially when it means you have to leave a game or walk all the way back to spawn) mad respect for the way you handled it, that no matter what happened you still went out and admitted to the way it was handled in the moment

It's awfully rich to see such a blatant cheater whining when he gets called out for it. I've never been within 500 miles of mustang, but i know from personal experience he's just the biggest cheater in the game. I've only ever played airsoft 1 time and when i played he was on a different hemisphere, but i know he was there cheating. It's what he does.

I don't play air-soft, being an fps video player..., but I am called a cheater constantly by two types of people. 1. those who do not possess my infantry skills, and 2. those who do know what I can do and call for false vote kicks, all so they can dominate. I totally agree with your stance; I usually laugh it off, but if it really bothers me, I call them out then record and report. You were totally within your right. I think he was overwhelmed that you called him out. You are the professional.
