At my field the ref sits above in a booth with a sniper rifle and will not hesitate to shoot anyone who he sees attempting to cheat. If it gets really bad there will be two refs. One high one low. Both with guns.

Airsoft is a lot of fun. Sadly I can no longer play due to physical issues preventing me, but the one thing I hated about it was the fact that the game HAS to rely on the honor system. There's no other way to make it work and there will ALWAYS be players who try to keep playing after being hit. There are also times when it's hard to tell if you were hit or not (BBs bouncing off clothing without making a noise, hitting gear, and ricocheting.)

I do Nerf/Dartsoft and usually people are pretty humble about getting hit. I call my hits just about every time and so does everyone else, usually it's pretty easy to tell you got hit by a nerf dart going 170-200fps

@@judah9813 3D printed "Nerf" guns can hit up to 300FPS, you'd be surprised how much stuff is out there. There's a guy in out group named Derrick and he runs a store called Frontline foam. He personally sells and uses an HPA blaster that can hit that hard. He also has a 250FPS Caliburn, which is a 3d printed springer.

@@judah9813 it's not really nerf, but they all shoot Nerf darts. Most people in my group use Half length nerf darts which just have shorter foam. The HPA blaster is called the Milsig M79, there are also a few 3D printed shells for some magazine fed HPA breach systems like the supercore. I use a flywheeler that hits between 140 and 160FPS personally

my brother who was into airsoft told me this fucking hilarious story, one day the higher-ups were being dicks so this one guy just yelled “Fuck it! Kurt Kobain” and shot himself in the head with his pistol. Albeit it was probably the most resistant part of his helmet but it just started a chain and like half the players followed suit, even he did. in Germany only 0.5 Joules on fullauto is allowed. The nice thing is that 98% percent of the players call their hits correctly and dont argue like that. The spawns are usually outdoor or good marked.

Come to berget event in sweden, 52 nationalities that attend to it roughly 1800 people. 80 veichles tanks/military infantry veichles/civilan rebuilds. I love these videos mainly because it shows the idiocy of some people who think they can weasel out of rules in a game, real, board, or video. Older brother used to play airsoft when I was like 4, and I heard zero arguments and saw zero confrontations, mainly because I was young and played on the Xbox in the break room they had (the owners were nice people, and I knew a couple of the staff as I grew a bit older, and through my older brother). Seeing people like this is funny, as when rules are established, they have to be followed to make sure the game is fun and fair. People trying to full auto or rage quit afterwards (like the guy blind firing, or the guy that decided to grab the guy at the beginning) is funny yet scary to see. I'm not sure if the place we went to a decade ago allowed Full auto, but I know for sure it was closed down, and the area was bought by a new company for a different purpose. (It's a warehouse about 10 minutes away from my house). I would have loved it if the airsoft place was still open, or at least if there was another one I knew of around me. I'd love to have continued on the little "legacy" of my older brother, because airsoft is a fun and fascinating game to me overall. I never got to play it before, but from what I remember all those years, it was filled with such a good community (in the area I live in) and good sportsmanship. The people all-round were nice, and I'm glad my childhood was a fun experience.

I love showing my kid these so that he can learn how not to act on the airsoft field. Building up a pretty nice list of rules based off of everyone's bad actions. Here's a good one don't use your airsoft gun to accentuate or attempt to conclude your argument. Do not exchange airsoft rounds in anger, only in friendly sportsmanship on the field.
