Wow, just wow!!! The design and how everything works out. And even the Allen Key, which is used as the Pin... truly amazing

Damn this is awesome project! Lately I have been going to a field that has lots of old buildings and I have been looking for a grenades but they are kinda expensive. I am printing this now and the instructions look very clear, thanks for that. I will update you when I get to use it.

This is really impressive! A proper use for 3d printing.

Dude, thsi is quite clever, and noiseless for sure. All the times that ive pull the little tab on midcaps to empty them widout noticing the power inside of them. what is more, you could attach a part for those cap gun pellets to add a bang.
@AVieira014 жыл бұрын
This idea was jumpstarted exactly by mid caps. The cap gun pellets idea while fun, could potentially cause some problems due to the heat/gas of the primer explosion.

Very nice. Printing one right this moment. I am going to test with some stronger springs and angled output to spread the BB's other directions.

This but properly made could be the best type of spring grenade so far! U should really go ahead and try to get a prototype made out of actual plastic or even metal to REALLY put this design to the test! The best selling point without knowing its full potential would be that the grenade doesn't have anything sticking out of it after it went off, unlike all other spring grenades I've seen so far! So u should really experiment with maybe some more powerful springs and alternating angles on the "BB nozzles" (like, 3 of them are angled up and the other 3 are angled down) to improve the BB spread and maybe u'll end up with a field-worthy product!

Thank you for the comment and suggestions! Stronger springs is indeed the go to and first improvement I will consider when coming back to this project (and the future grenade design ideas I have). I'll have to do a fair bit of research to make my own springs. Shouldn't be too hard, just gotta find a good wire type and technique (a 3D printed template/mold should be very handy for this). I'm caught in between a couple different projects and alongside my other hobbies, I don't have much free time to spare on this. Hopefully in a near future!

Excelente projeto! Já agora onde conseguiste as molas?
@AVieira013 жыл бұрын
Obrigado ;) As retangulares/trapezoidais vêm de um carregador mid-cap (cyma), a gorda é uma mola standard de gearbox AEG e as pequenas são molas de canetas (4mm diametro).

Great Models! They fit very good and the parts list is also very good. I have just a tiny problem. After the first use the piston does not stay in place. May I shorten the spring?
@AVieira01 Жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks for the feedback. I'm assuming you mean the piston is slipping out of the head, if so, shortening the spring may be a solution if it's to powerful. However, I'd try to check your head first. I recommend printing it at a lower layer height because of the slope where the piston head makes contact with. You want this contact area to be as flat as possible so there's as much friction as possible when it's under compression load. If you printed at 0.2 or higher, you can try to sand it down a bit to make it more flat. By flat I dont mean leveled. It should still have it's slope to allow the the piston to have a good surface area when tilted. One thing you can try aswell, I never done it but it would be on my list to try if needed, is to glue a bit of sandpaper on the head and piston where theey make contact. This can be tricky to do but in theory it would give you a lot of friction, depending of the grit and execution. Let me know if you manage to solve it.

comentei no seu projeto no thingiverse para usar molas diferentes heheh.... estou pensando fazer usando 4 mini ratoeiras... acho que simplificaria o acionamento, o sistema de lançamento igual da claymore de airsoft mas vertical
@AVieira014 жыл бұрын
Não estou bem a ver como funcionaria o sistema com as molas de mini ratoeiras mas força! Faça remix das peças que precisar e coloque no thingiverse, pode interessar a quem não tiver acesso às molas que eu utilizei. ;)

Where can i buy springs?
@AVieira013 жыл бұрын
You can buy the Maple AIrsoft Superfeed springs on their own or depending on how cheap you can find, you can buy used mid-cap mags and use the springs. One 120-140rd mid-cap magazine should be enough for one grenade. The "main" spring is from an AEG gearbox, it's the stock spring that comes in the gun but you can use others, just adapt the size to the spring strenght. And the little springs are from ballpoint pens, these ones are 4mm in diameter. Source some pens or buy them in bulk from sites like aliexpress and so.
