There's also a traitor and detective shop in the video game version, and THOSE guns will get you killed on sight if it's a traitor gun. Also in later episodes, people start pointing out that the shotgun has very few shots, so they claim it's a defensive weapon and it would make sense for them as an innocent to pick it up. But yeah, it is interesting that due to limitations of the physical world, the game has changed quite a bit.

This is just a thought, but it could make for some rather amusing moments. Have the cameramen come up with code phrases. Something extremely simple, yet odd. Don't allow the traitors to see who eachother are before the match, but force them to find eachother using this phrase, which only the detective and traitors know. The detective would know, so as to force them to be a little more discreet around him, but nobody else would know it.
