@@ween6301 Thank you for the laugh of the day. Energylandia has a very well rounded Lineup. Yes, they have more Kiddie Coasters than most Parks, but they have more Coasters than most Parks too. They currently have 3 High Thrills Coasters (Hyperion, Zadra, Mayan) with2 being borderline Family / High Thrills (Speed, Formula). They have 5 Coasters that I would put as Kiddie Coasters and 5 Family Coasters. By the looks of it Abyssus is going to be more of a Higher Thrill Coaster with another Family Coaster planned to open this year and a Mine Train already confirmed for next year. Like it or not, Energylandia is a Park for the whole Family and that Shows in their Coaster Lineup. And you have to keep in mind that Poland is still pretty new to the whole Theme Park concept. Prior to Energylandia they pretty much only had what is now known as Legendia and a handful of Luna Parks and Family Entertainment Centers. Honestly now that I think about it, I mentally rank literally every other park I've been to lower because of the lack of walking? Walking so much makes Magic Mountain feel absolutely massive! I'm also super familiar, so when loops are quicker at other parks it makes me feel instantly familiar with the park and that's just boring. Mike Ford yeah. SFMM really needs a kids area expansion. Whistlestop Park has been bland ever since Thomas left, so remove everything there except Magic Flyer (also modify the trains to remove the Percy car and maybe even make it accessible to taller riders) and combine it with Bugs Bunny World to create a larger kids area with more attractions, a better play area, maybe a consistent theme like Camp Snoopy, and maybe even add a fifth coaster (I’d go with an invert) and boom, a decent kids area. Maybe also add more family rides throughout. Although the next park to get a kids area (if Covid wasn’t a problem) I’m guessing would be Great Adventure, since they just got rid of one of their kids areas along with a coaster for Jersey Devil, so give Road Runner Railway the Woodstock Express.

Top Five Roller Coaster Collections 1: Cedar Point (No-Brainer. Millennium Force, Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Top Thrill Dragster, and Magnum XL-200 all in one park? Instanity.) 2: Six Flags Magic Mountain (Having the most coasters in the world will put you in the top five. If it wasn't for the sheer quality of the coasters at Cedar Point, this would probably be number one.) 3: Hersheypark (The addition of Candymonium gives them a really well rounded collection. They never cared about records. They always focused on building high quality roller coasters and their lineup is elite because of it.) 4: Six Flags Great Adventure (A homer pick, but the El Toro/Nitro combo is one of the best top two of any park, really only bested by Cedar Point and maybe Carowinds. Kingda Ka is a blast, Bizarro is criminally underrated, and Green Lantern is one of the better stand up roller coasters out there. Jersey Devil could potentially push this park into the top three when it opens.) 5: Six Flags Great America (This park really gained some momentum this past decade. The additions of X-Flight, Goliath, and Maxx Force have taken Great America from a great Six Flags park to one of the best parks in the country.)

I'm a hiker, so I personally don't mind the lack of transportation rides. My top con would be the lack of a ride closure schedule. I almost missed out on TwCol because of that in 2018. The year round schedule makes it easy for me to plan my vacation here on school days and take advantage of having no lines. That makes it my top pro, but it also goes hand in hand with your top 2 pros. The amazing coaster collection and the elite top 2 are why I want to be here on days with no lines. It's now also my # 5 favorite park that I've ever been to.
@markjensen70914 жыл бұрын
Yeah SFMM is an amazing park. I agree they need to invest on the 2 main cons, get the observation tower working again and invest in some transport. I did hear alot of rumors about the observation tower during the summer simply because of the high winds, or someone purposefully trying to jump off from the more open lower level, or could have some metal fatigue. Even a simple funicular that replaced the Dragon (the station is still there), and connected the top of the mountain would help. I remember my knees and my legs killing me after a day at the park due to the walking. When the monorail worked, it was a rarity. With the observation tower, personally they should tear it down and then build a Stratosphere-esque type of tower where you put a revolving restaurant at the top and then add either the Fish-hook roller coaster Arrow was designing or put a drop tower on top of it.

Some more trees in some areas would be good, log hammer area now full throttle used to be SO much nicer.

This was a really awesome and very useful video for me! I was supposed to be visiting the US (California in particular) for the first time very soon and was really looking forward to getting these credits! Of course current circumstances have delayed my plans, but I’ll definitely keep all of this in mind for when I eventually visit! :D

I used to go to Magic Mountain every birthday as a kid. Then I moved to Saugus and kind of just stopped going. It has been probably more than 25+ years since I have gone.

Great Park! My only time if been there was in 1999 and I thought every Six Flags would be like MM, since it was my first SF Park. Little did I know. But I don't know if MM will be the first Park with 20 Coasters. Energylandia might want to be the first Park with 20 Coasters too.

Nice video mate. Certainly agree with having access to ride down time in advance. We came over from England 9 years ago and had to book in advance and on a particular day to fit in with our movements. Would've been great to see what was open/closed. We missed Superman, Batman and the original Colossus. Thankfully we were 2 months too early for Green Lantern and just in time to ride Deja Vu before it got moved and ruined!

As a native Southern California guy, I love this park as well, Díamond season member pass holder , I only wonder why you dislike Goliath so much, I love that first drop. Twisted Colossus did bump it off my list immediately after opening though, that ride is spectacular.
@jumpbacktome4 жыл бұрын
Goliath is just relatively weak for a hyper. Most enthusiasts say it is underwhelming. I haven't ridden it myself yet but the first drop is pretty shallow by today's more vertical standards.

I have barely any experience with coasters outside of MM to be fair, but I really like Goliath. The closest I've come to blacking out on any coaster is the looping part at the end. The only downside is where it has to slow down significantly or even stop on a part of straight track, but even that can't make me stop enjoying it.

10:00 That is a hell of a great idea. SFMM is a place I go to a few times a year but if I came from across the country to ride X2 and it was down I'd be pissed. When everything is back to normal I'm planning a trip to dollywood/SDC and lightning rod being closed could ruin the whole trip for me.

Craig Perry if I ever get back to SFMM I might try Canyon Blaster and Road Runner Express for the credit, as luckily I already have the credits on Percy’s Railway (Magic Flyer) and Speedy Gonzales.

Do this exact video but for Great America, also if American eagle gets RMCd do you think it will be better than Twisted colossus because they're both dueling coasters?

Jared Alba unless it gets the Storm Chaser/Iron Gwazi treatment.

lmao the parking! I go like 2 or 3 times a year but the walk to the park from the lot is pretty much part of the experience at this point. You get used to it 😂

I live in europe and when I had the chance to visit six flag magic Mountain in june 2009 my experience sadly wasn't that great. I only managed to ride 4 rides which was mainly due to slow one train operations on a busy friday. I stood 3.5 hours in line for Terminator salvation (I think now its called apocalypse), 3 hours for x2 and another 3 hours for tatsu the last ride the old colossus was the only ride we were able to almost walk on. So we rode it twice. In the end all rides were great and I will never forget how awesome X2 and Tatsu were. But in the end what really disappointed me were the length of the ride. I was used to German parks with coasters having usually pretty long ridetimes. Even if I was standing in line vor 2.5-3 hours for the most hyped coasters I would get ridetimes 90-120 sec out of them. Both X2 and Tatsu disappointed me in that regard, the rides were great but both times when I hit the break run I was like, wait thats it. I waited this long for auch a short ride?

Great Adventure is 2.5 miles off a major interstate, and the park is right off a 3 lane road with only 2 or 3 traffic lights before you get to the park. By the time you get to parking at Magic Mountain (not preferred parking, cause I always forget to book it), it takes just as long to park at both parks.

If you come early to Fiesta Texas you can park 2 rows back from the entrance its great after a long day to be able to have your car right there.

I was supposed to visit in early April for the ACE day and I am soooooooo salty about it.... I'd finally gotten to the point in the last year where I could start planning on trips away from SFDK. Let's see how restaurant work is going forward. I'm doubly sad about the February 2021 Disney trip I was trying to plan for my 11 year old, which DEFINITELY won't be happening...

@@interioralligator3302 yeah, but I worry it is going to be a lot more expensive. I have been planning and saving for this trip for over two years already. My kid is going to age out of Disney and want to go to six flags by the time I pull it off lololololol

The Efteling in the Netherlands has an app where they show you all the current waiting time and if the rides are open. It worked pretty good for me.
@johanlenox4 жыл бұрын
i agreed w all of this. the stapling thing varies a bit by employee i find. agreed on ride closures, the Six Flags app isn't even accurate during the day while you're there which makes it hard to know if you wanna cross the park for a ride you don't know is open. i end up riding rides like Drop of Doom to try to get a better view of whatever i wanna ride next after i'm done w TC haha. the observation tower thing is super depressing, wonder if that'll ever be resolved. for me the lack of airtime in the park is the biggest con given how big of a park it is. also agreed on the 365-days thing, it's hardly worth that gimmick if so much stuff is gonna be closed in december and january
@johanlenox4 жыл бұрын
i guess to get even more specific, for me the biggest con is really the lack of a good hyper which the park will likely never get cuz why would they tear down Goliath. maybe in like 15 years they can do a T-Rex conversion of it lol, thats the only chance i can imagine if it starts to get really rough or something, but as of now it runs fine and is still super popular so even that'll prob never happen. i think i honestly slightly prefer Great Adventure's coaster collection (disregarding total # of coasters) but i'm prob just spoiled living in LA

I'm not sure if you have done this or not, but you should do a strategy video of where to go in the park at what time to avoid lines and such

My top must do Park is Cedar Point, but this and Kings Island are at two and three. When would you say the best time of the year is to go here since I'm in the U.K?
@AirtimeThrills4 жыл бұрын
Probably early may or mid September for the Ohio parks. January thru May is good for SFMM except for spring break

Cedar Point only has the ride locker policies on rides where the enter and exit station are separate. With the exception of Steel Vengeance.
@keithstransitexperiences97492 жыл бұрын
As of April 1, 2021, X2 allowed loose articles to be stored on the side, however on January 25, 2022, X2, Tatsu, Riddler's Revenge, Goliath, and Scream require lockers without warning per a sign by entrances.

14:57 I did exactly that (including Green Lantern) with the exception being Gold Rusher and replacing it with Justice League, and Lex Luthor. (I know they are not credits but those are all of the rides I did at magic mountain on August 15th 2017 which was a 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM day. I was so damn happy with that.)
