What if the vent gets blocked and won't turn on? When this happened, I wasn't with our vehicle, but the 'renters' said they woke up and the heater had shut off. After talking with them, it sounds like a computer bag may have been placed near or in front of the vent.

Any heater housed in plastic is not going to be a very efficient unit.
