Does it normally take a long time to scan for channels? I’ve been scanning for over 5 mins…

No , if you have a great antenna connected 1 min max , its very quick !

Why did you not just get the OTA adapter from DISH, and install it on your Dish receiver. Assuming the Dish receiver is connected to an OTA antenna, it just adds the OTA channels to the guide.

Clearly you did not watch the entire video did you ......... I am using SLING , Not dish buddy ....... and before you ask me why I am using SLING and not DISH ....... go look up the price lol ...... I love people who think they know way more then everyone else lol :p

Actually it was a SLING issue , known issue and they have resolved it , I also had issues and contacted the support folks , there was an open ticket for engineering to work the issue and it has since been resolved , Mine is working as its supposed to now , DVR and Local channels.

@HomeTech_Pro So this known issue, is that when you have it searching for channels, but couldn’t find any? Trying to set one up but it just won’t work! What is that fix?
