Im curious, bec I had my D&C yesterday and they did that to me? why? they (2 anesthesiologist) didnt even tell me that they will do that I just got a intubation summary in mychart

i'm suppose to do an operation but i'm worried about my upper teeth coming off cus i have an open bite. Is their anyway the surgeon can avoid applying pressure to my upper teeth cus i have a crown on there?
