ive stuttered for 56 yrs now and i find when ever im around other people who stutter i get a very calm feeling surround me because i know the people im with..wont get that look on their faces like they want to finish my sentances for me

KAREN BRANCH I feel the same way. Being with people who doesn’t stutter is hard, because sometimes you’ll get the stare, especially if they don’t know how to react and got prejudices towards people who stutter. I’m much more confident now though than when I were in my 20’s or even 30’s (I’m 45 now), back then I hardly ever dared to speak up when I was around other people.
