"ऐसे लोग भी होते हैं" इस फ़िल्म की कहानी के माध्यम से समाज को जागरूक करने की कोशिश है | किसी भी सभ्य समाज में दहेज एक श्राप है| ओमप्रकाश अपनी बहन सपना की शादी के लिए दहेज के रुप में उसके लालची ससुर द्वारा मांगे गए 8000 रुपये जुटाने के लिए अपना स्कूटर गिरवी रख देता है| लेकिन ऐन वक्त पर पता चलने पर सपना शादी करने से इंकार कर देती है और श्याम सुंदर जो कि एक बैंक में clerk है उसके गले में वरमाला डाल देती है | केदार शर्मा की कहानी दहेज के ख़िलाफ़ समाज को एक संदेश देती नज़र आती है|

The origin of Dahej is persian word Jahez. This Dahej culture came with Islam & became largely popular in Northern part of India which was ruled by Islam.

On the other hand, **Dahez Pratha** (dowry system) in South Asian cultures, including India, has evolved into a practice where the bride's family is often pressured to provide substantial gifts, money, or property to the groom's family. This practice has led to significant social issues, including financial strain on the bride's family and, in extreme cases, dowry-related violence²³. While Jahez and Dahez Pratha share similarities in that they both involve gifts from the bride's family, the key difference lies in the intent and social pressure associated with them. Jahez is intended to be a voluntary and supportive gesture, whereas Dahez Pratha has become a socially enforced expectation, often leading to negative consequences.
