They had an outline for season 2 from the moment they had an outline for season 1, however, they scripts weren’t done at the same time. Once Season 1’s scripts were locked in, they began working on writing Season 2’s scripts immediately, without the knowledge of whether they’d get to actually put them on screen. That meeting in the documentary was in early 2021, so over 3 years ago now. Kinda crazy to think of how far ahead this stuff has to be worked on!

@@artxroyalty it doesn't help that every suggestion people make to reactors is well intentioned and from the heart, whether it's actually *that* good or just something the person making the suggestion personally loves. So reactors trusting their communities is a big part of the equation. With Arcane and Bridging the Rift, there's kind of this element for the community where it's like "We know lots of people want you to watch things but how can we convince you that this is really, actually, not just a good show but something very special above and beyond that". Fallout, for example, is really good and I'm looking forward to you tackling it. Ella's amazing in it. But while it's a good show that's both fun to watch and definitely worth reacting to, it's not, like, world rocking the way Arcane is. It doesn't crawl into your head and rewire your entire brain like Arcane does. It's S tier but not God tier, to use a gamer reference. At least, not in my opinion. But it'll be a great way for your channel to maintain momentum and to pass some time - hopefully with a little more League/Arcane stuff sprinkled in - until season 2 gets here. ;)

It is so amazing to see a piece done with this much love and care being so good and getting the praise that it rightfully deserves. We are so used to corporate schlop, the crunching because the executives say we need this by this quarter, etc, that when you see a piece in which the executives say "you have all the liberty and all the responsibility, because we trust in you" and they let them have all the time they need to put the passion into it, it really hits different. It is not like other creators do not have passion or love for the craft, but they are simply not given the resources to do anything but the bare minimum because the scenes are needed by yesterday. I think that Arcane is a triumph of the art over the money. Arcane was not a smart monetary decision, but it was a brilliant artistic decision, and because of that, it ended up being a brilliant monetary decision too. None of these people were in this project for the money, they could have done other much easier projects and probably get much more money, but where else could they have pushed the boundaries of a whole industry? Animation in general, but especially Western Animation, has a new standard. Future shows are going to be compared to the gold standard that is Arcane, just like Anime is compared with their gold standards like Studio Ghibli. There is a before and after Arcane in adult animation.

That's why Arcane is so good : everyone who worked on it respected the IP, the previous material released and the people who already loved the IP. And it hurts my brain that other shows don't understand this. How many times do you hear people in charge of adaptations say "we didn't play the games/read the books/watch the previous movies" and what the produce is good ? Never. There's an almost endless list of flops because of this and it still happens. It was a pleasure to watch you react to Arcane, are you planning on watching other league content?

To put it in perspective...season 1 took A LOT of time and resources and mistakes, do overs and second guesses and out of the box critical thinking to make this amazing series. They had to actually create new...and make improvements on already established processes in every aspect of making an animated series. They started this from the ground and built it all to the way to the top. This is why it took six years; a considerable amount of their lives to make. They deserve all of the praise, accolades and awards this show has brought them. Because of what they did to make season one a reality, season two didn't need to take another six years. I can't wait to watch the second season and see all of the hard work they put into it!

I don't think they worked on S2 concurrently. Far more likely imo is they finished the scripts and voice recording for season 1, and then started finishing the scripts and voice recording for season 2 during the long process of animating, editing, and doing sound/music for season 1. Basically if you're a writer, or story board artist, or some other role that comes very early in the process, once your job for S1 is done you can begin moving on to the next season, but a large portion of Fortiche's staff would not have been available for S2 until after S1 was complete.

19:16 i mean a lot of the storyline has to already have been thought out before finishing season 1, because once you're locked into a direction you're very limited in your storytelling options. If you wanna do something later on in season 2 you need to be able to set it up properly in season 1. As the animation team is working on finalizing season 1, the writers room doesnt have anything to do there anymore and is naturally already working on season 2. Right now the writers are already working on working out the story for the next show within the world of runeterra/arcane.

Hey Aisha, I know you’ve already seen Arcane, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the world of Runeterra. The League of Legends universe is massive, with so many regions, characters, and stories that are just waiting to be explored. The cinematics they’ve put out over the years? Absolutely stunning. The level of storytelling, the music, the art styles-they’re all on another level. Imagine doing reaction videos to those cinematics. You’d get to dive deep into the lore and discover how each character’s backstory ties into the greater narrative. Plus, the community loves seeing new perspectives on their favorite champions and story arcs. You’d be reacting not just to the visuals, but to the incredible world-building and emotional depth that Riot Games has crafted. Trust me, once you start watching, you’ll see why so many people are hooked. There’s so much more to Runeterra than what’s shown in Arcane, and your reactions could bring that world to life for so many others. What do you think? Do a reaction to them pls.
@ninjatoriumnova24833 ай бұрын
What's actually insane is that Piltover and Zaun are considered by some to be the most "boring" regions in that world, and I kind of get where those people are coming from. I mean, I love them, the aesthetics and the characters are great, but there isn't really an overarching plot other than the class struggle and the weird technology. Noxus, where the Medardas are from, is one of the most dense regions when in comes to the political intrigue, power struggles and something more ominous looming on the horizon, and the fact that we see more Noxians in the S2 trailer makes me think that it's where the next story will take place. I hope so, at least, but honestly, this team could probably make an interesting story set in the middle of nowhere.

So, on the subject of hype, a few weeks before Season One I remember catching one of the trailers as a KZbin ad before another video, and I immediately got drawn in by the animation style. Like, I'm the kind of person who skips every ad without fail, couldn't care less what it is, but this time I actually stopped and watched. Then I saw it was based on League of Legends and thought, oh, well crap, it's just some extended advertisement masquerading as a show. It's going to be pretty, but completely vapid. That's a shame. And then the show dropped and the buzz started. And then John Campea, who I don't always agree with but who tends to be an honest and generally sober-minded reviewer, absolutely GUSHED over it and said it was flat-out the best animated show he's ever seen. So I thought, okay... wow. Maybe I should give it a shot. So, funny thing, I thought it was alright and didn't get what all the hype was about at first, and almost ruined Episode 3 for myself. I remember being tired and distracted when the explosions started, and I just happened to pause right after the third crystal went through the wall and I stepped away for something. I came back and was like, wait a minute, I thought these guys were getting out, I have no idea what is happening, I need context here... so I REWOUND to watch the entire sequence again. Thank goodness I did, too, because I was starting to piece together the implications of what I saw, and it was adding to the impending horror. I was like, no, that did not just happen. From there until the end, I was so angry at the show yanking me around emotionally, until the moment Silco's hand went up to wrap around her, and I realized what they were doing, and I was SOLD.

IF you're doing your storytelling right, you should have end goal in mind and for them to be working on the story for season 2 as the animation is being worked on for Season 1, it's not surprising. In comics the writer should probably be ahead a good 5 months of the book being worked on. At least the editor should have a pretty solid plan for the story and direction of the book. In old TV production LOST just kinda made stuff up to shock and surprise the audience not really thinking of the end goal. They only watched the first act at the premiere because Netflix did something they normally don't do and that is to drop the entire season in one drop. They released three episodes at a time over the course of 3 weeks. Guessing they might do the same with Season 2. And its really too bad that it's ending with Season 2.
