WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but I have been moving and living in different countries due to the nature of my work. I’ve lived in countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

Pulanglah can be translated to 'please come home'. It's a sad raya song about a girl waiting for her partner (maybe boyfriend or husband) to come home for raya, after some kind of misunderstanding, they have a fight probably but she still wishes he comes home. This is a legendary raya song. EDIT: This is Aishah's original song. But this particular show, it's Siti's show and Aishah is the guest artist. You should also check out another one of Aishah's raya song title Setitis Kasih Di Aidilfitri, it's one of the most difficult raya song. Not many singers dare to sing it live.

every year, this song (composed by Adam Ahmad and lyrics by Aishah) is the Top 10 Must Play/Listen Hari Raya songs. it's 30 years old (if not more) and only a few artistes have covered it. apart from Aishah, Ramlah Ram and the late Sharifah Aini also have Hari Raya songs with high notes.

This is always Aishah’s song written by the late Adam Ahmad and lyrics by Aishah herself. Siti never make this as her song. You may have Siti sing a different song called Pulang di Hari Raya.
