Vanessa was a fabulous victim. I love maj Dusay!! I am not an amc fan but i watched and loved this storyline. How great is Vanessas laugh as she goes over the falls.

Vanessa screamed. And it was a death scream. Leo's grip on Vanessa's hand was too strong when they fought for the gun and the railing broke due to their combined body weight.

bwahh!!! i just cried all over again. the first time i saw this i just bawled!!! and when the funeral happened and years went by and he never returned - i officially hate amc for killing one of my fav characters and breaking up one of the couples that made me love this show! the last time i cried so much was when gillian died!

Just really something, t's sad the amount of people that haven't seen L&G. To me they are the cream of the crop. Just such a special time them being on screen together. Marj and Vincent are amazing actors and just everything came together so great. I love Rebecca too, however sometimes I wished she would have left too just to go off with Leo to Paris. Greenlee was never the same again anyway and the show just went downhill after this. To me they went to Paris and the fantasy scene is their final scene. Vanessa was the only one that went off the cliff. Vanessa died and they had their happy ending. The last 6 months were the best. No Becca, Ryan, Laura, Jake, Trey getting in the way. They were so in love and happy. The writers finally gave the viewers what they wanted just seeing them finally happy and married. The writers overshadowed by saying how happy they will be in Paris, nobody will split them up, then the scene where Greenlee is worried Leo will die and she will die if she loses him. They knew this scene was coming, so it was all insult to injury. They were of course leaving for Paris that night, so frustrating. Well Greenlee did go to see Vanessa right before she kidnapped her and told her they were leaving for Paris and telling Vanessa she can't see Leo anymore and she is out of their lives. Why did Greenlee go see Vanessa, it is just like poking the bear. I always am annoyed about the Laura storyline and the waste of a 6 months that was. All that time Leo being mean to Greenlee and wasting time with Laura while Greenlee was off with boring Jake. We could have used that time for L&G to have a baby. I just never understood the point in Laura.

There is absolutely NO WAY Vanessa is going to forgive Leo for strangling her. AND also throwing all of her diamonds into the falls too.

With the storyline going on with Ryan/Greenlee/David. Leo would come back at the perfect time. I miss his character so much.

1:11: The brutal fight between Leo and Vanessa. Judging the mean grunts between both of them, that was intense. And they fought like enemies! It's a true sign they really hate each other now.

I think Josh brought something so incredibly special to the role - so they have to be EXTREMELY carefully if they ever choose to recast Leo. I agree though that the time seems to be very right for Leo to return now that Greenlee wants to marry his brother.

Where Leo survived or not depended on whether Josh Duhamel had a successful career upon leaving. He obviously did so Leo stayed dead. They left the door open for him to return though.

At the beginning of this scene, Leo had BOTH hands on Vanessa's throat. Looks like Vanessa firing the gun during the strangle caused Leo to add extra strength to Vanessa's throat. When we last saw Leo and Vanessa in part two, Leo had his left hand on Vanessa's throat and Vanessa cursing Leo before she ended up misfiring.

Jeez that scene where Greenlee imagines Leo saving her was so sad and sweet. I am like crying and I never cry at TV shows. Was Leo supposed to have died at that point and it be like his ghost and his unfinished business was to save Greenlee? If they were going for that they should have had the Leo drowning scene before this. If it wasn't for her imagining him or whatever that was she probably would have let go. I don't know how they taped this stuff, I would be so emotional having my costar leave. Honestly, Greenlee was always talking about their love being forever way more than Leo did. Leo was cruel to her a lot of the time and always put others first. It was only until the last 6 months he treated her right. Greenlee mainly fought for him and was nicer in my opinion. Also, the police and swat team were useless. Vanessa and Leo went over the falls and they still didn't come to rescue Greenlee, where were they??? I am surprised Trey could pick her up, he seemed weak to me and he shouldn't have had to save her, if he wasn't there Greenlee would have went over and for what reason, a million cops but nobody could get to her, Vanessa went over the falls awhile ago. I also always thought the last we saw of Leo was when he went over the falls, I didn't know until seeing these clips again so many years later he survived the fall and hung on to a tree, how intense! Again where is the rescue team? Anyway, I guess I could see that delay since it was a 100 ft drop, but they really should have been right there to rescue Greenlee, I mean scared Trey made it up there. It is supposed to be a tourist site to overlook the falls even though it looks dangerous. I think it is interesting we got to see Leo's reaction thinking Greenlee died in the past scene. He handled it better than she did. He admitted his wife was dead and Greenlee was in complete denial to Leo's death. The state Greenlee was in I am surprised she didn't just let go. It was really sad to watch Bianca's reaction to Leo dying. They were good friends at one time and we never even got a goodbye scene with them. I never understood why Leo couldn't just punch Vanessa out, he is a man and she is an older woman. Sadly if Greenlee didn't yell for Leo in the last scene he would have strangled Vanessa and then saved Greenlee. I think it would have been funny if Vanessa lived and the we saw David and Greenlee's faces, the woman won't die, ha! Leo easily could have came back, they never found a body. Someone could have rescued him and maybe he got amnesia or Vanessa held him hostage. Josh always wanted to leave like that so he could easily come back.

Apparently Vanessa is the mother of Leo and David. Leo couldn't punch his own mother. But Leo did strangle Vanessa, which caused her to misfire, which woke up Greenlee. I personally think Vanessa wouldn't forgive Leo for strangling her.

So Vanessa won in the end. She tried three times to kill Greenlee and that didn’t work so some might argue that she decided to take Leo with her as she couldn’t live and didn’t want them to be together.

Some may argue that yes. From my perspective after Leo attacks Vanessa for firing at Greenlee and they fought badly after that, it came at a cruel price, the 100 foot fall. And judging the fight between Vanessa and Leo, it was a true sign they really hated each other now. It was just unfortunate that the railing broke when Leo and Vanessa's body weight caused it to give way while they fought for the gun. Leo did survive the fall but from not seeing Vanessa after that, the 100 foot fall killed her instantly.

never watched this soap at all, was only days, passions, bold, ATWT and Y&R over the last 20 odd years, but when i saw the AMC characters on other TV shows or soaps or movies, I heard about this supercouple and decided to watch greenleo' story! must say this vanessa was mad like a hatter! (however it is true that some mothers who do NOT like their son's gf's they will try absolutely everything and anything including manipulation and pay a lot of money to keep them apart!) sad but true....great acting though, like woW!

Marsha Julessa Vanessa brought Leo to Pine Valley for the SOLE PURPOSE of targeting Greenlee for her trust fund. Leo fell in love with her for real and that was that.

I think there was only one bullet left in that gun. Vanessa used one in the apartment, two when Greenlee fought her when she threatened to shoot Leo for dropping her diamonds. The fourth was used when Leo strangled Vanessa and that caused her to fire the gun waking up Greenlee. And three when she fired at Greenlee at the ledge before Leo attacked Vanessa and they had that bad fight for the gun.

I'm glad he's coming back. Little confused on how David pulled it off but maybe he'll explain it and I hope Leo stays longer than 2 days or so. I think he spent 2 days on set so who knows.

Idk why they haven't recasted Leo or at least tried to bring Josh back to make episodes with him and Greens reuniting. Their love story cannot be over like this. They deserve their happiness, plus Leo brought out the best in Greenlee and without him she is not the same.

This was sad. Vanessa fired like 4 shots at Greenlee...Leo attacks Vanessa and they both had a bad fight for the gun...Trey reaches the top and watches in horror as the railing breaks, and both Leo and Vanessa fall 100 feet! Leo manages to get the gun, but was too late.

I don't think Vanessa survived the 100 foot fall. I think Leo landed on Vanessa the instant they hit the river, maybe that's why Leo survived.

Leo DEFINITELY broke Vanessa big time. The strangle was a true sign that Vanessa crossed a serious line. Vanessa learned the real hard way that NOBODY is on her side at all.

I really have to criticize Trey in this scene. He should have done something to stop the fight between Leo and Vanessa because that battle for the gun was really intense. Although it was a given that Vanessa did NOT want Leo bringing anybody with him when she took Greenlee hostage.

Part of what makes GreenLeo magical and unforgettable is that they weren't tarnished by changing HWs. Especially, today's soap writing is a travesty.

@Lamoca88 yes, changing HW's can kill a couple! Look at how Guza on GH has botched the return of VM and made the character of Brenda something she totally wasn't when she first returned. It's like, do these people not pay attention to the history of the soap at all. because we fans know it pretty well!

This has to be the second gun control fight Vanessa has lost to Leo, despite the fact they broke the railing and fell 100 feet. It was very hard to see but Vanessa did NOT have control of the gun as they fell. The first gun control fight Vanessa lost to Leo was at the boathouse when Leo confronted Vanessa concerning her drugging Greenlee and Jake.

Yeah he made a mistake. Vanessa fired at Greenlee. Leo attacked Vanessa after that and they both fought badly for the gun thereafter. It's too bad the railing broke. And Trey was up there when Leo and Vanessa fought for the gun. I gotta wonder how would Vanessa would have reacted when she saw Trey and Leo lied to her?
