My day in the life when I went to AIT: 0400-0415: Wake up, hate life, make bed, make sure room looks semi-presentable 0430: Stand outside room, prop door open, hate life, wait for drill sergeants to come by for room inspections 0445: Get to formation outside, hate life, watch/listen to NCOs yell at somebody for something 0505: Start PT, go through the motions 0615 - 0630: Form back up for mandatory breakfast chow, march to the DFAC. 0715: Get back to the company, run upstairs, take a shit, shower, get changed into OCPs, chug some caffeine 0800: Be at formation ready to go to class. Stand and wait for twenty minutes. 0820: March to class. Go into schoolhouse. 1130: Go to chow, stand and wait outside the DFAC for forty five minutes so you can sit and eat for five. 1245: Get back to the schoolhouse 1615: Class is finished. Conduct random cleaning duties, bullshit. 1645: Go outside and stand in formation and wait for drill sergeant 1700: Flag goes down 1705: The drill sergeant is usually here at this point. March back to the company. 1715: Run upstairs to revel in this little bit of free time 1730: Come downstairs for dinner chow formation. Hate life and listen to drill sergeants yell at other soldiers. 1800: March to chow 1815: Stand outside the DFAC for twenty minutes if you are one of the unlucky ones 1900: March back to the company, finally dismissed at this point 1930/1950: Bed checks, be ready to stand outside room for thirty minutes to an hour so you can wait for the duty drill sergeant to come by and check your name off. One of the longest parts of the day. Not allowed outside rooms after this time. AIT fucking sucked

Damn... I went to AIT 13 yrs ago at APG(Aberdeen proving grounds) back when ACU'S were just being issued. I had BDU'S but got issued acu's at my first duty station (Korea)
