Aizen's final line about courage does actually fit with his personality, back when Gin nearly killed him he thanked Gin for putting the fear of death back into him, as that allowed him to evolve further. Aizen values death and the dread it brings because he knows that is what drives everyone to try to improve, himself included.

Well to be honest, Aizen is like Saitama from OPM. He became so powerful than only the Soul King could really stop him. He was bored, he wanted to kill the soul king just to see if what Kisuke said about him being a lynchpin to all 3 plaines of existence was true. Ichigo in dongai form was the only one who actually overpowered Aizen and for that reason, it’s why he likes ichigo. Aizen groomed ichigo on purpose to be his rival essentially.

@@dylanlapenna8513 Only thing I don't agree on is Aizen's reason for antagonism being that shallow. Tousen aligned with him after his friend was murdered by a Noble Shinigami. The Nobility has corruptly ruled the Soul Society under the guise of the Royal Family ever since the Soul King came into existence as we know it now. Aizen, through whatever cruel methods necessary, aimed to replace the vegetable that the Soul King had become, and make what everyone thought was true of the Soul King into an actual Reality, to become the King and god of Soul Society to reshape it and take power away from the nobles. Doesn't mean he's not a dick sometimes, like stabbing Momo, and having Toshiro stab momo. You could argue he stabbed Momo, knowing Unohona was on her way, in order to force Momo to distance herself from him after he manipulated her so thoroughly in order to make her help his plan. And made Toshiro stab her as a strategy to disrupt the captains and allow him to emerge victorious against the better part of the entire Gotei. Still, he has some dickish moments nonetheless. Although he does still have genuinely kind moments. He never meant any ill will towards the main members of the Gotei. He never killed a single one of them. (Almost Yamamoto, because Yamamoto's existence would threaten the new world he was trying to create). Congratulating Rukia on finally being recognized for her talents, explaining all of Hisagi's questions, helping Ichigo against Juha. All of the evils he committed were, at least in his eyes, justified by the greater scope of the plan to make the world at large better and free of corruption that leads to more needless death. TLDR Aizen's a dick, but his goals are noble, if a little self-praisey. He is capable of being a genuinely nice person, and at his core, he's lonely, especially because he plan requires him to become even more peer-less than he already was. I don't doubt he wanted to become god, but I also think he would've enjoyed to have remained ignorant of the greater issues in the world and stayed normal.

He's a terrible person that is extremely evil and cunning, that does not care nor empathize with anyone. He is narcissistic to a fault. It just so happens that sometimes, his evil schemes tend to make way for good things to happen coincidentally. He is "the enemy of my enemy" for the shinigami in TYBW arc.

its not ironic because if you think about it, Aizen has first hand experience of fear of death. When Gin killed him, his fear of death is what trascended him into a superior and immortal being. Without that fear and his will to live, the hogyoku wouldn't have trascended him. Even Aizen thanked Gin for that. "Fear is necessary for evolution" - One of Aizen's quotes to Gin.

People forget that Aizen WANTED to be sealed away. His ego and arrogance had clouded his judgment by the time he fought Ichigo, and the hyogyoku knew he secretly wanted to be like any other soul reaper so it let him be sealed. His main goal is to replace the soul king, because he hates that there's nobody actually running things, which, if he wasn't a villain, would be an honorable goal. I think Aizen is genuinely using his time in Muken to reflect, and it makes me wonder if he'll still be a villain when he gets out, or if he'd do things differently. He's such a complex and misunderstood character, I hope one day get his backstory or a glimpse into who he is after Muken.

The fact that Aizen was fascinated to realize that Bach was looking at "Ichigo" means a lot to me :D! We never knew what "Deception" Aizen put on Bach! It can be anything from "Seeing your worst fear" , "Facing your greatest hardship" to, perhaps even, "Fighting your most beloved person". I know the last one might not be true but we can never knew, the "Idea" behind why Aizen was fascinated is what fascinated me!

Aizen is basically the kraken that really needs to be released at that very moment; although doing so may seem to hit on the Gotei 13's pride, I still think that it's very wise of Shunsui for doing so, and it really shows that during those really really trying and hard times, pride can never go along with it especially if it means life or death. During the war, especially when Juha already absorbed the soul king, there may seem to have no trump card for the shinigamis, and this decision of the current captain commander is really intelligent. It wasn't like the one they did during their battle with Aizen where they just go all in and then be obliterated by him one at a time. The characters really developed as time goes by, and Aizen as well, because I think for him to help the shinigamis, the ones that he betrayed before, is a sign of his pride as a shinigami resurrecting inside of him. PS. Chair-sama did really great too 👉🏻👈🏻

Realeasing Aizen is one of pure examples of desperate moves of cornered people. They just had to use everything and anything, also try to bring something new on their side, whathever the price. Aizen in chair is great detail, third personification of his personality (or at least the part reveiled). I love how everyone is still scared like hell from someone bound to the chair, we know that Aizen's talk is as dangerous as his powers. Did he really got any stronger in prison, or is it what he wants everyone to think. That is why Yhwach is never going to be great villan, how can he compare to Sousuke? I never thought that he was going to return as main villan at the end of TYBW, but if there was ever going to be new Arc, Aizen would for sure be main enemy again.

Aizen's final speech is very similar to what he said to Gin after he tries to kill him. Aizen thanks him for making him feel fear as he feels fear stops us from stagnating and keeps our desire to evolve and grow. Also I thought that Aizen's comment about Ichigo was more him being slightly annoyed but happy about someone such as Ichigo continually getting the best of him despite Aizen trying his best. He was no longer bored and lonely.

It is Aizen that wanted to cross the border between Hollow and Soul Reapers. He’s always believed in unity but in “evil” ways. His ultimate plan (if he became soul king) is still in question. So really I don’t understand people saying he’s out of character. Outside of this series, evil can be seen in many lights and this is a common theme in this show (which is why I love it) . Overall, I think Aizen is one of the most intriguing characters in the show and I find his speech fitting.

I was actually fairly satisfied with Aizen's presence in the final arc. Far more satisfied than I was with how he was handled in Deicide. His personality had returned to that calm, cool, condescending dick that we all know and love. And I absolutely love the interactions he has with Kyoraku, and the other members of the Gotei when he's first released. And his spat with Mayuri was genuinely fun and amusing to watch. I love that we get to watch the series' two strongest villains duke it out head to head and there were some truly epic moments in that final battle. I do wish there had been a little bit more but I was pretty satisfied with what we did get.

As someone who wasn't the greatest fan of the final arc while it released, I can still clearly remember the immense hype I felt when Aizen came back. "Return of the God" was such a outstanding chapter title; everyone immediately knew what was about to happen, and Aizen was immediately on top of things like he'd never been gone.

One theory that I think it's pretty neat, and would explain why Aizen simply disappears after he's enveloped by Yuha's reiatsu, why he seems fine in the last chapter, and also why Yuha asks him why did he turn off Kyoka Suigetsu: everything Aizen has done in the second invasion was basically an illusion. He never left the chair, let alone the prision to begin with. If that was Kubo's intention, then I think it is a pretty cool detail.

I think a missing part of Ywach's power is that; Yes, he can see the different potential futures. But I think it was only for himself, or specifically what he's a witness to in those potential futures. I.e. He could see the futures of Ichigo, where Ywach had broken Ichigo's sword and then pulled from that future. But when Aizen showed up and altered what Ywach could see with Kyouku Suigetsu, Ywach could only see different futures that were presented to him under Aizen's influence. Almighty wasn't as powerful as either we thought, or that the Sould King was the only one capable of wielding Almighty to it fullest potential. Kubo was big on the right person's powers being used to their fullest.

Here's why: 1) Ichigo didn't know about his real Zangetsu until he met Oetsu. We all know how important it is to know the true nature of your sword in order to tap into its full potential. 2) He was unaware of his Quincy heritage, which also gave him a power boost. 3) It makes no sense for Yhwach to be weaker than even fully unrestricted Aizen. I'm going with the general consensus of "Endgame villain is stronger than previous ones." This logic applies to almost every battle shounen. 4) Yhwach's power was so great that it was basically impossible to fully control, thus making it unable to prevent others from sensing him. 5) Yhwach is moon to planetary level. After he absorbed the Soul King, he was basically the linchpin of existence. Aizen's feats are far below that. He also absorbed Mimihagi, took the powers from the Sternritters through Auswahlen.

It would be a plot hole for him to have had a way of being more powerful without losing his powers. Going by what’s definitively stated the most powerful characters overall are Hogyoku Aizen and Dangai Ichigo. Kubo could easily have written in that Yhwach and True Zanpaktou Ichigo couldn’t be sensed and he could have taken off Aizen’s restrictions and had a clean 1v1 with no “oh I dropped my guard” excuse. That’s the proper way to portray something, the fact he did none of those things simply means they were all weaker. I do believe Yhwach would have reshaped the worlds but not because of destructive power, that’s just what the Soul King can do as an ability. He wasn’t just gonna destroy them he said he was gonna make it no one died, altering reality itself. It’s just like when he reshaped the Royal Palace and how when the Soul King dies the world starts to crumble. The only character in Bleach who was definitively stated destruction wise to have planet level range is Yamamoto but range doesn’t really matter it’s about attack potency. Ichigo and Aizen can’t one shot a planet, don’t care about whatever bs Seth The Programmer has brainwashed you into it’s never stated or remotely implied that can do anything close to that but we all know both of them would dominate Yama just like how Ichigo dominated a Menos using a multimountain range cero before he even knew the Getsuga Tenshou which isn’t even mountain range. Hell I remember Ichigo casually stopping Grimmjow’s cero with one sword swing in their final fight, right before Grimmjow used his release state. That cero was said to have distorted space, meaning Ichigo’s potency at that point in the series was was beyond space distortion (whatever that means XD). Also the idea that someone could be so powerful that they can’t control it and will be sensed makes no sense. The reason they aren’t sensed is because they’ve reached a completely new level of power so far above everyone else that they become undetectable. Aizen described it as a 3 dimensional being not being able to interact with a 4th dimensional being. The only way you could be sensed is if you purposefully lower your power like Aizen did from the time he defeated Isshin, Kisuke; and Yoruichi all the way until he fought Ichigo. Even Hogyoku Aizen couldn’t sense Dangai Ichigo before he even did the Final Getsuga, meaning Ichigo was even more ridiculously powerful. Maybe Aizen unrestricted surpassed that level of power since right before his defeat he said that the Hogyoku determined he no longer even needs a Zanpaktou and that he’ll reach even greater heights than Ichigo. That’s another thing, people seriously sleep on how broken the Hogyoku is I have no idea why. Not only does it make you 100% immortal but it allows Aizen to power up indefinitely. He did said the Hogyoku has a limit but that limit he spoke of was relative to what’s within the realm of possibility, he was talking about Ichigo and his friends when he mentioned that. Obviously we can see it’s not gonna grant a wish like “make me God” but Aizen merely wishing to break his limits it can. That’s why he got stronger from doing nothing and evolved mid fight against Ichigo twice. So even if someone was stronger than Aizen he would just evolve beyond their power. Ichigo even without his silly deus ex machina level of power was physically just as powerful if not more powerful than Yhwach based on what we saw and Yhwach stating that he broke his Bankai out of respect for his power. This implies he saw himself losing if he fought Ichigo power to power. You could argue that Yhwach would defeat Dangai Ichigo even if he’s physically weaker since we the Kenpachi vs Ichigo no damage concept contradicted but at the same time not necessarily because Yhwach logically would be too weak to do significant damage to before he kills him considering even someone like Hogyoku Aizen going all out could only mildly damage him. Yhwach’s immortality by feats isn’t definitive since he couldn’t see the arrow after he revived himself implying he has a period of being vulnerable. Ichigo could kill him over and over repeatedly before he has a chance to do anything. I know it probably just sounds like I hate Yhwach but I’m just looking it all unbiasedly. Technically Yhwach’s ability shouldn’t even be able to influence Ichigo due to the huge difference in Reiatsu. This is also a concept that seems to come and go as Kubo pleases but logically the gap is so big between them that it shouldn’t affect him, I could definitely see that in a narrative where FGT returned instead of the canon way Yhwach was defeated

Aizen was perfect. By the end he grew to respect people like Ichigo who had to work really hard for their strength as opposed to feeding hundreds of souls to what was essentially an artificial Soul King and subsequently embedding it to evolve through it's power. I believe he was just that smart and capable all his life that he never really saw a reason to struggle when you can just use others to your own benefit but by the end he realized (maybe only for a moment) that there IS merit in taking the long, hard path and doing things the "right" way. All in all, Aizen was basically Kisuke but with serious narcissistic personality disorder lol.
