Avoid the first batch. Get the second batch. It's not a bad bike, the first batch usually has issues. It's a common thing for KTM. Remember 2017 when Duke got the new design. Blown gaskets, fork leaks and barrage of issues. But all of them are fixed on the BS6. Wait for the next batch. Majority of the issues will be sorted out.

I faced a similar issue with 2022 duke 390 at around a 1000km. According to the dealer the issue was with certain type of assembly inside the engine which was loose. (manufacturing defect) the assembly was replaced under warranty and the dealer provided replacement bike for a few days until my bike was fixed. Hope that helps in troubleshooting.

KTM reliability in initial batches has always been questionable. My BS3 390 2016 model blew up its engine at 37k for no reason. Great bikes but KTM seriously needs to work on QC Going to prefer japanese motorcycles no questions asked

Ktm is very good when it comes to sales and marketing. But believe me almost all franchises are doing the worst to their customers I sold my only 2 year bike as they messed up with that badly i was frustrated then sold it. I thought about going for the new one because of the beautiful work but thank you brother you reminded me how they operate nowadays here the don't have any compliance or protocol where they should maintain their brand reputation look after genuine customer concern. Showroom is not ready to replace my bike also. The thing is that they know that there is a issue in oil passage issue to input output shafts to fix which the crank case itself needs to be replaced. They say they can only replace the crankcase.

bhai ye rare h and ye Dealership level pr issue h pls complain in KTM Customer care and if things not work well then file a case in consumer court and bro they will open and repair Engine only without opening engine how they will rectify the issue if they are ready to open and diagnose engine issue by opening engine then its fine allow them because without opening engine its not possible for anyone to detect the issue and since its a new engine and first time its there in market so always buy after 2-3 batches or atleast wait for 1.5-2 years because anything which is new is not perfect according to realtime conditions because testing is done when product comes in real world no matter how much they test and relax dn panic KTM is big brand they will rectify

Bhai mai apko full support kar rha hoo , mere sath ye same issue ktm duke 2019 model mai bhi ayi thi . Ye ktm ka issue sirf new generation mai nhi balki purani generations se hota aa rha hai. Mai apni new ktm pe college jaa rha tha exam dene aur ye same issue aya . 6th gear mai bike jam ho gyi and engine se awaz aane lagi. Maine vahin stop kardi and service center se call kiya. Meri bike pickup hui and ladayi karke warranty mai sab cover hua. I have loved ktm since day 1 but i was disappointed and disheartened by their service and reliability. I ended up selling the bike and bought a ninja 300. I am much more satisfied with the reliability honestly.

bhaiya isme se to crank shaft play hone k jaisa awaz aa raha hai . sama sound was coming from my ns 200 when its engine was seized. i had to build the entire engine like i had to replace the block assenbly and head too aling with the crank shaft.... though my bike was around 3 yrears old and it had around 20k on odometer..... i hope ktm will provide you a new engine as your bike was brand new and bhaiya please donot go for opening or replacing the engine you will have to face the consequences later.... also the genuinity of the spare will make the difference.... in india some of the showroom uses thirdparty parts so please bhaiya do not even think of going for repair of the engine even if the showroom is doing it at free of cost....

Maine kuch din baad jab hisab Kiya to pata chala ki main showroom wale ke godown se dusre branch tak aane mai almost 7-8 km lagte hai kyuki jis showroom se liya tha usme fi wala ns 125 nhi tha to bacha 10 km kisne chalaya bike sach bolu to indian market mai bike, car sab do number ka business hai aur yeh showroom wale v apna promotion karwane ke liye gaadi ko KZbinrs ko de dete hai aur wo gaadi ko pura nichod lete hai mileage nikalne ke chakkar mai and drag race mai jis karan gaadi jab customer leta hai pura barbad ho jata hai , Mujhe gaadi lete hue 5 months hue hai service v karwai par service wale v kuch nhi sunte ulta bolte hai ki gaadi rakh ke jao.

They test it in one of the harshest environments for millions of hours, puts through extreme abuse , keeps electronics to minimum and mechanical maximum . They sometimes take 3 years to develop one single engine , unlike many manufacturers they don't rush it , they take their own sweet time, understand the shortcomings and sort it out there itself .

Who are talking about engine run in, its to be noted that running in is a different matter altogether, which is required in a new bike to maintain the longevity, optimum power output and mileage of the bike. Not maintaining runing in can never sieze or damage an engine, it will affect only the efficiency of the engine and in no way, how badly you ride a new bike, an engine can never sieze until there is some serious manufacturing defect with the vehicle. This is a clear case of manufacturing defect, and no need to replace the whole bike for this, rather he can get the engine replaced.

But in no way, how badly you ride a new bike engine will never sieze until there is some serious manufacturing defect with the vehicle. Brother i was considering buy this bike for touring...but now after seeing your pain 💔 😪 i can see it isnt a good choice to invest your hard earned money and losing your money, mind i cant even think of right now...i hope you will get justice from ktm ..else file consumer court case..👍 now i will go either with yamaha ,suzuki or honda... never with bajaj or ktm

I have a 2018 Rc 390 and my experience was not good either. Riders seat locks were broken. The radiator fan didn't work. Now it's been 5 years since and 20k done on the bike. Front suspension is not working properly. The engine is giving black and white smoke. Just under 20k kilometres and the engine is showing signs as if it has done 100k or something.

Thanx vai. Aur spread kro Iss matter karo. Showroom vale ki sirf ktm nhi bht showroom vale ki charbi jami hai. Police complaint kr do sb evidence deke. Thod do showroom log leke jake. Jai SREE Ram

First step - Consumer court mein complain kro bhai Second step- Need compensation and return/refund the bike 3. Escalate the issue and file a case against the showroom

I had a similar issue on my 2021 ADV 390! I was going to file a case but KTM told me that they will fix it and all! After 4 engine rebuilds the engine never worked out! dont trust KTM for this! If something like this happens on a new engine it will never get fixed!!! File a court case right away dont waste your time!
