Aj Styles vs Jay White WWE 2K22 Dream Match Highlights

Hey everyone!! I hope you all like this new match I have done! I have been working on it for a few weeks now, I wanted it to be some what special with the Mania stage and I think it came out pretty well, shoutout to JoeMashups for the phenomenal Jay White mod (no pun intended)!!
WWE 2K23 is coming out soon so I might do my next highlight on it, we'll see if there's any cool new moves since we don't know anything so far xP (classic 2K)

Absolutely loved this match start to finish! Camera angles were unique and I love the pan and zoom features you added. Action was stellar and I loved the edits with some of these high risk moves. Be amazing to get this match in real life! Match Rating : 5 Stars

I'm going to divide this into two parts. Those two parts are production and match quality. PRODUCTION: This is your greatest match in terms of production quality 110%. I was pleasantly surprised to see the extra effort given to the camera cuts (even if its a very slight deviation from your usual formula) as it gives the match some personality, rather than it being static and generic at times. I am a sucker for callbacks and really enjoyed the time lapse of events leading up to the position they were in now. Extra effort like this allows me to be more invested in the story and it enforces greater emphasis on why you should care about the match. As usual, the camera angles in general were selected very nicely and gave a great perspective on the events on screen. Also, I really thought the song added an extra layer of emotional connection. MATCH: This was one of your greatest creations yet. I appreciated the airtight nature of it with solid character work from both guys as well as no shenanigans (as normally present in a high-end Jay White match). Some moments were genuinely great and smooth as butter. The bullet elbow counter at 1:59 was something I didn't even consider and it perfectly fits Jay's "less is more" philosophy on match structure given how simple but effective it is (and unique). The Calf Crusher/Killer counter at 3:23 is one of the smoothest counters I've ever seen, as well as the Styles Clash counter in the concluding act. In general, this may be the smoothest match you have ever produced. Every move feels like it flows seamlessly with one another. Such cohesion is something I respect and enjoy seeing. Nothing feels disjointed. In general the match structure was well-done and the reversals were done with great timing and logical implication (such as the first Blade Runner). I thought for a second about you using his inverted figure 4 or cloverleaf (whatever it is), but I realized after that it should only be used for people who use their legs in a big way, such as Rollins. It could've been something that worked here, but I won't knock you on that. It's hard to do rope breaks in this game anyway. I also thought about White being cheesy and doing his ref bump and low blow, but it may have made the match more convoluted. As I mentioned above, an airtight, clean victory is great and also may solidify White's place on the WWE and BC totem pole if that's a story you were trying to tell. I wondered about the possibility for the application of various BC finishers (such as the OWA, Cross-Rhodes, or Bloody Sunday) but this may go both ways. Straightforwardness isn't necessarily a bad thing as it gives it its own identity as well as as I've said three times now, airtight (meaning, not much deviation from its main premise or purpose). I don't in general have many critiques I can give. Any other finisher kick outs would've been overkill, they used their entire arsenals, and they kept it clean the entire time. I do feel that it's *possible* that incorporating a mini-story of nefarious acts like a low blow or the other observations above may have advanced the match from a storytelling standpoint, but in general I am very pleased with the product you have here. It's possible that the match was a little generic in terms of working body parts for instance (for example, Jay White performing more moves on the neck to set the stage for his finisher) as well as being in the traditional WWE match structure (no repeated moves, almost no neck moves, lack of dramatic selling, choreographed nature, etc.), however I also acknowledge that you captured the essence of a Jay White and AJ Styles match well in terms of realism and logic. Some specificity on something in particular (or a story in a story if you will) may have added on top of the drama and well-executed sequences and acts. Overall, be proud of what you accomplished here. You did a great job with this and I will be watching this more times in the future. You're the man. MATCH RATING: 4.75-5
