I think that piano glitch is literally hard coded into the game because every single person who's played the game, including me has to go through that, how telltale messed up the sound trigger so bad for that to happen is beyond me because coding a trigger for a sound to begin and then end is literally one of the easiest things to code.

Plus we've seen him not get social cues, implying he's not exactly experienced with people or how to handle situations without Clem's help. But when he decided to play walker pinata instead of hunting I was like, "ah hell naw" so I went with Violet instead. I also think the story just works better if you choose her. In this episode in particular, if you go with Violet and Brody, you get to know Brody more too, so her death at the end is a bit more impactful. And there is 2 other instances where choosing Violet is better for the story in my opinion.

I honestly felt really bad for Marlon. He's not like the other leaders we've seen like Carver or the New Frontier's. He got this leadership role that he didn't even ask for and had to deal with the pressure of leading these other kids and keeping them alive for years. Then this group comes and starts taking his people. It was a crappy situation for him as the leader and there really weren't any "correct" answers, especially for a kid like him. That hit Marlon gave Brody was a culmination of all that stress he's been keeping bottled up for years, and he ended up taking it out on the wrong person. Then from there, he feels that everything is crumbling apart and is desperate to preserve it by lying. So I honestly can't really hate Marlon. I wouldn't be able to lead like he did even at my age, and even if I were in his position, I don't think I would've done much different.

While I cant say I agree with Roshi's stance on Marlon's death, he is correct from a logical standpoint. AJ is expected to prioritize Clem's safety above all else; and he's a kid. Kids have a tendency to take things to their most logical extreme if push comes to shove, and in AJ's case he's quite literal. He's not at a point where he can tell nuance in situations so this leads to him possibly making snap decisions based on what he feels to be the most logical thing to do. Him biting Ruby, attacking Marlon, straight up pulling a gun on him asking where Clem is... His actions do make sense given how he's brought up n all that. Anyway, good episode, next ones gunna be interesting.

Something I always like to point out which gets ignored and called “illusion of choice” is the fact that a lot of telltale choices are of morality, cruelty, sympathy ect. Instant L in the beginning imo, as it’s a test of whether or not you respect the wishes of others and of cruelty. Nothing bad happened regardless in the beginning, as the house is absolutely boarded up, we can definitively say without a doubt the house is safe, but for their own ease players tend to kill the couple for a couple seconds saved. Edit: Also, roshi gotta put on that clown make up at the end, bro isn’t just a clown, he’s the entire circus at that moment.
