The ref was not for Chelsea, he blocked their pass then took the ball out of Chelseas possession and tried to have a kick out for it... The ref was just shite, there was no favouritism. The red cards were deserved, Blind made two foul tackles back to back in plane view and Veltman CLEARLY flicked his wrist out from his side to block that shot whilst in the penalty area AND already being on a yellow card. Get realistic Chelsea had their winning goal taken away because of that same rule (Except Tammie couldn't avoid his) and despite having close to 10 VAR checks and several goals disallowed and the red cards taking over 3 minutes to sort out, they got a measily 4 mins of added time when Ajax clearly couldn't hold out any longer than that and even stopped the match with time still on the clock. How much more evidence do you want. Ajax went 3-1 up with having 1 shot on target, that's not skill that's pure luck. They both deserve props for the resolve and pace they kept up for 90 minutes.

With a team that holds the ball well in midfield chelsea needs kante instead of mount. Mount can play at the wing not midfield. Fullback is really lacking at chelsea. Chelsea needs someone who is great defensively but also can deliver early crosses. They also need a strong and experienced full half. Chelsea lacking in crosses. Too much reliant on cutting inside and attacking through the centre. Long range shootings are lacking as well.

I think ref knew that he messed up a little bit with that handball and penalty (english commentators said it was harsh call) and then red card so he disallowed Chelsea's goal bc of Abraham's slight handball (that was also kinda soft). Then he didn't add more minutes. He knew he screwed up for Ajax and for game itself so he tried to balance it out. But Ajax also should have hold on to the 4-1 lead a little better. It seems like they have to score 6 goals in order to take a win. It's not good. They allowed Chelsea to get away with 1 point.

Alejandro Moreno is wrong, Ajax did not make the same mistake as vs Spurs leaving to many gaps at the back going forward when not needed.. They were only very unlucky this time with very questionable refereeing sending 2 of their players off and give a penalty against them in one go, completely turning the game in Chelsea's favor.. Ajax was still fully in control of the game at 2-4..

That ref is trash, but the first red card is not only a second yellow but actually just a straight red card because if you’re in the box and someone shoots on goal and it hits your hand it’s supposed to be an immediate red (example: Colombia vs Japan WC 2018). Let be clear: 1) Chelsea did get far too much over the two games. If you like quality soccer you should know Ajax dominated Chelsea. 2) Blind did get fouled before the whole incident. 3) If you forget 2) Blind did deserve a second yellow and therefore a red card. 4) Unless you cut off both arms of the players, a player cannot remove their arms. This was clearly not a penalty and certainly not a yellow card. If you are a Chelsea fan just inmagine this incident was on your side and then judge. At least I think no matter which team: this cannot be a penalty. 5) Without the incident Chelsea would have lost the game. And in the home game (this is well documented now with prove footage) Ajax was denied a goal in Amsterdam by the VAR wrongly applied.

The refs ruined nothing. Blind made two terrible challenges and was already on a yellow and the manager knew he had two CB’s on yellow cards so he obviously needs to get a grip at some point and at least replace one of them. As for the second yellow for the penalty. Though it was not entirely intentional you can see him slightly extend his arm in his turn to prepare for the ball about to hit him. I don’t know if it constituted a second yellow I can agree on that but it shows that you cannot take any moment for granted. And a robbery would have been The Chelsea win which almost just happened. So, yeah for the goal they allowed they also disallowed the game winning goal of Azpi . Which means Ajax narrowly avoided complete cataclysm with potentially two losses and not advancing into the Round of 16.
