Dude I thought the same thing. Traveling to crawmerax and Ajax was boresome. However, god blessed this man cause I just got a god roll on my 12th kill in total (plus 1 for when I first killed him) dude I almost lost my ish seeing that gun drop. Then seeing it say over 400 damage just made a brother lose his cool. It's an animal of a weapon

I was so confused when i saw joltsdude farming craw then farming for the Ajax Ogre since it was "super rare". I got lucky on my 100% completion run of the normal playthrough and while killing the midgets for the marcus quest and thought, hey wouldn't it be cool to just kill ajax on the way as well (didn't know he dropped a legendary). Long story short i found a legendary and was like oh that's cool, on my siren character i kind of just ignored it but now i know i have a level 34 Ajax Ogre that is basically gonna be rare lawn ornament lol, pretty cool random scenario though. (took a whole 4 tries btw, don't know how good that is but yeah.)

Ajax Ogre is one hell of a legendary to farm.

Especially since it takes me longer myself to drive there because with the gatling turrets on the way that smoke my car up sometimes and the drifters outside of Ajax's spawn point in roads end that terrify me AND (shocker) tend to also destroy my vehicle. Killing them too takes time added to drive time to get to Ajax

@brettrossi034 Take a racer and save at least half your turbo for the turrets and drones. If you get lucky you can even phase through lancers if your using turbo. Racer should get you there and outrun turrets mostly without turbo. Turbo is just extra security

Now that borderlands is on the switch, I’ve been farming for this weapon. I’m playing Roland and Ajax is quite difficult.

The thing with the part that makes it an Ajax Ogre does take away some stuff from the normal ogre. Because of this the Ajax Ogre can only spawn with some bad parts. However, the reason it's so good is because of the increased rech (the thing that does the explosive damage). So basically if your Roland a normal Ogre would be the better option with the better parts. If your a blast master Brick then I would say get this gun. If you just like farming stupidly rare weapons then go for this and have yourself a blast.

I actually have a 400 odd damage Ajax Spear and the thing is a fucking bandsaw when it comes to enemies honestly it shreds everything in seconds I’m asking myself if I even need an ogre at this point I know for a fact it would be sub 300 damage even if I did find an Ajax ogre

I have been farming this for a week now, 20 runs a night and no joy. I already have an ogre and its a beast, i would be gutted if i got an ajax ogre that was worse than the ogre i already have. Cool vid man.

It might take you 1000 tries, this stuff is harder to get than pearlescents.

Who's watching this in 2021? Loving my return to the first Borderlands, with the exception of these damn cars getting stuck on every other piece of collision. Anyways, I play as Lilith so I might skip this farm on her, but will definitely be using this video when I do a Brick toon. Keep up the great work! Also, what weapon do you use most on this DLC? Looks like you're using the Vitriolic Crux, which I'm currently using. Wish mine had a bigger mag size though...

Its worth farming even IF you dont get the Ogre version. Ajax Spear is one of the best non Legendary ARs in BL1. So really so you dont get disappointed you go into it with the mindset of Farming up a really good Spear. Then if the Ogre version drops well thats Icing on the cake at that point. Also Ive probably farmed for 6-8 Hours on the normal BL1 GOTY edition on PS3 and never gotten the Ajax Ogre, Heck I havnt ever even gotten a regular Ogre in BL1.

The Ajax Spear I showed in the video is the best one I've had drop so far. Super high damage, high fire rate, and even a large magazine size. Its so good

You got a pretty bad version. The best one that can spawn is with the AR590 model code. Still, a win that you managed to get one to drop from him!

Once you hit max levels is almost impossible to get a level 69 weapon until is from a vending machine or the golden chest that can spawn legendarys level 69 that ogre is I think level 67 or 68 the reason it looks like a level 55 is that you have it equipped and the proficiency glitch still in the remaster, loot goons to drop 69 weapons and loot midgets

I got it on first kill, when the questline tells you to kill Ajax xd, after that 6hrs in and nothing but spears xd (original, in enhanced never got 1)

Took me the 2nd time I farmed was about 4 in a half hrs and about 30 tries and my ogre was like yours and I farmed 2 times since then 1 for about 4 hrs and a 2nd about 3 hrs and nothing. I leveled 2 characters up over level 60 to 61 so this is how many times I've killed ajax and some drifters and the men before the bridge from time to time killed him and stopped counting nothing yet! His words are not a lie

Is called ..... ogre, but more like it, Ajax is gonna drop Ajax spear, I wrote ..... because it can have different letters for each ogre weapon.

Just farm the claptrap DLC chest room. I found the Pearl Ogre with 373 Dam, 86 Acc, 12.5 Fire, x4 expos, 55 mag, and with a scope.

Yeah im losing my ish man. Ive been hearing about people doing 400 to 500 runs to get a good ajax. Just got a GOD roll Ajax Ogre on the 11th kill (12 including my first time killing him) Tbh i had a feeling i would get at least a good one before Craw gave me my Tsunami(literally any variant other than a 2.8 thumper. Havent gotten one yet.). On my 10th Craw kill right now. But man seeing the gun alone was epic not having to do too many runs. Seeing over 400 damage with the 12.5 fire rate and 93 accuracy was just biblical

How are you supposed to do this on console when it auto saves after you kill Ajax? Is there some way to turn off auto save that I’m not aware of, or some other secret way?

I'm pretty sure he respawns once you turn in the quest so you can kill him as many times as ya like

Once you comolete his quest you have to turn it in for him to respawn. After that you have to save quit after each kill and drive all the way again

I've got 2 ogres from crawermax. My last is 380 damage 12.5 fire rate ×4 fire. With a good scope. It's so amazing I can't stop playing now. But my question is how can I tell the difference between an Ajax ogre and that one. And could one actually be that much better than what I got? It's called an AR 490 pearl ogre and it just flat out destroys
