In my version of Dark Of The Moon directed by Christopher Nolan, it's Barricade who orders the Autobots to be executed and because Wheeljack (who's modeled after his rising storm design which in turn is based on G1) sacrificed himself to destroy the Decepticon protoforms that were swarming around him, Barricade is preparing to kill Bee. Barricade fights Bee one last time after Wheelie and Brains interrupt the execution and he dies the same way Soundwave does. Note: Soundwave survives as he, along with Megatron and his loyal Decepticons, redeem themselves and leave Earth just like in the novel.
