Orginal malyalam version is far better than remake. Actually remake could have been better if Nishikant Kamat would have been alive and directed the remake.

In malyalam film industry it's not the case if a film doesn't have good script no matter even if have big stars like Mohanlal or Mamooty.. the people wont appreciate it. Bollywood is big film industry in India but is currently dependent on southern film industries for survival.

​@@docamit123I Agree with you. Not a Malayali but I found the Malayalam version much better than Hindi one. The Director of Hindi Drishyam Nishikant Kamat had passed away. So another director took over the chair and directed Drishyam 2. But the screenplay of Hindi version was amateurish. As if the director didn't want to waste time in creativity, generating suspense, making the movie crispier. Waise bhi ab tak toh non malayalis ne bhi Drishyam 2 Malayalam version dekh li hogi, matlab story unhe pata hai. Ab aise mein itna kya dimaag lagake kuch alag karna ?? This may be the mindset of the director of Hindi version.
